About Me

Vengeance aka Verol Stevens was born on December 1, 1973, in Sheffield in the Parish of Westmoreland. He attended the Sheffield basic school & the Sheffield All Age school. He grew up in Sheffield, listening to many sound -systems in and around his community such as Black Striker, Saint High Power and DC High Power. From a very tender age he would sneak out at nights to go to dances to listen these sounds. From as early as age thirteen he began to show an interest in music and began to write lyrics and perform them on sound-systems at various events in and around his community.After leaving school in the late 80s he began to pursue a career in the music business. Over the years he performed at many dances on sounds such as Stone Love, Bodyguard, Black Cat, Jam Rock, Silver Hawk, Q45 & Silver Star. During the early years of his career he performed under the stage name Daddy V, however in recent times he has changed his stage name to Vengeance.Vengeance has developed into a very powerful & dynamic recording artist. His recordings such as How Long (IRIE Negril Records), Mix Up Mix Up (IRIE Negril Records), Jah Love Sweet (B.I.G Records), Looking For A War (B.I.G Records), Assafa (B.I.G Records) & Wrong Way (B.I.G) clearly display his versatility as a recording artist and song writer. He is also a very powerful stage performer.He has shared stage with some of the biggest acts in Jamaica such as Toots & the Maytals, Buju Banton, Freddie McGregor, Sanchez, Yellow Man, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Capleton, Lady Saw, Richie Stevens and Tony Rebel.He has performed on events such as Western Consciousness, Negril Impact, Negril Salute, Reggae by the Sea, Westmoreland All Schools Jam and the Bob Marley Birthday Celebrations.Vengeance is a very talented artist who is moving to higher levels with his clean and conscious lyrics.
