Hollywood Babylon

Formed in the summer of 2005 when Tom invited Channing to join Justin at Tom's house for the original purpose of recording drums beats for Justin's use. However, when Justin came up with an idea for a rather simple guitar rythm for he and Channing to play, the three decided to play together as a "band" of some sort. After coming up with a complete giutar line for the song, the band's first "song" was recorded on Justin's 8-track. Although no bassline or vocals were present, the foundation for the latest Amplitude group had been written and recorded. After a few practices in Tom's basement, the name "Hollywood Babylon" was decided upon after the Misfits song of the same title. Now that the band has begun to take shape, and now that multiple songs have been written, hopefully a demo will be on its way somewhere soon down the line. Hollywood Babylon played their first ever show on September 18 at St. Christopher's School in the Richmond area. A show with a number of other St. Christopher's bands, Rockin' For Relief raised over $13,000 for hurricane Katrina victims.
