Living life one day at a time

About Me

Decent, honest, caring, optomist who loves life, my dogs, and football. I believe in God. I'm a proud Democrat and liberal. I love movies and music, I like grilling out, lazy days by the pool, working in the yard, and going to the dog run. In short, a regular guy who likes regular things. I have very eclectic tastes. I enjoy the symphony and open mic night at the local hole in the wall. I like to go to a nice restaurant and TGI Fridays. Anything else you want to know, just ask.

My Interests

I like computers and science, football, anything around water, and throwing tennis balls for my dogs. I like reading about history, news, and current events. I love stimulating conversation with someone who is equally engaged.

I'd like to meet:

Nice people with similar interests and dispostions. I like friendly people who are unassuming and accepting of others. It would be great to meet some local people (over 25 please) that are up for doing things together. It doesn't need to be anything romantic or with any expectations what so ever beyond enjoying one another's company. HUGE BONUS if you have a dog and like going to the Ft. Woof dog park. :) I'm not here looking for a date or trying to find a girlfriend. If I meet someone great who also happens to think I'm fun, that would be special. But, the overwhelming majority of people you meet are just going to be friends or acquaintances and that is how it should be. After all, if everyone you meet is "someone special" then "special" kind of loses its meaning, right? Also, I really believe that you can never have too many friends.

Music:

Kenny Chesney How Forever FeelsI LOVE classic rock, country, and like all other kinds of music except rap and "boom boom" stuff. I like jazz festivals, blues, big band, classical and a lot of alternative rock.

Movies:

Comedies, Romantic Comedies, Action, Docu-dramas, and old movies. I like pretty much anything but horror and really graphic films. (Note: "old" movies are those made in B&W. I had someone tell me that movies made in the 80s were old movies.)

Television:

Every TV show I like seems to get cancelled. Recent victims of the ax are Will & Grace & The West Wing. I like the new CBS series like Criminal Minds and Numbers and (yeah, I'll admit it) Desperate Housewives. I like a lot of the HBO and cable series like Sopranos and Deadwood. I think Bill Mahr ROCKS!

Books:

Fiction: Anything by Robert Ludlum, Steven Ambrose, John Jakes, Clive Cussler. and other authors along those lines.Non Fiction: The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw, historical books, biographies, political books, and "how to" guides.

Getting Kenny Chesney back on my page

Something so simple, you'd think that it wouldn't be that difficult.  I have had the same song on here since I made the page.  But it keeps dying on me like the website deletes the code regu...

People Must Think And Get Involved

This is my opinion.  It is intended to make people think.  Please don't send me hate mail telling me I'm wrong and other less kind things.  If you disagree with me, fine.  If you ...
