I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm ultra lucky... things tend to go my way more often than not and I never take it for granted. I like to walk places and take my time. I've never met a stranger. I don't like to take anything too seriously as I believe life is too short to be stressed out. It's better to make the best of what you've got and where you are than spend time wishing it was some other way or you were some other place. I prefer to be outdoors and will take hot over cold anyday. I'm NEVER bored... I just don't believe in it. I like to share things as it's always more fun than doing things alone. I am fortunate to have the best friends in the world and love them (you) all dearly. I easily laugh at myself so even if people are laughing at me, they're still laughing with me. I believe the cup is half-full... usually even more than half I'd say.

My Interests

Being present minded, right here, right now. Music... live and otherwise, playin' guitar, waking up every morning, patio restaurants, camping... wilderness or backyard, cookouts, foolish roadtrips, driving w/ the top down, balancing, enthusiastic people, laughing, jackassery, tailgating, roller coasters, pro sports, seeing your name on my caller ID, cocktails and conversation, hangin' out for no better reason, serenity, hammocks, bad karaoke, Sunday kickball, sand volleyball, pickup basketball, and traveling both near and far.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone I can waste time with and think the time couldn't be better spent.

Music:

Big Wreck, Mur, Cake, Thornley, Ian Moore, U2, STP, GnR, Dwight Yoakam, Year of the Rabbit, Van Halen, Simon and Garfunkel, Megadeth, The Beatles, Greg Laswell, The Guest, Hum, Beck, On, Colin Hay, The Flaming Lips, Billy Joel, Travis, Sarah McLachlan, Foo Fighters, Bob Schneider, Led Zeppelin, Elbow, radiant*, Failure, Elvis, Weezer, Pink Floyd, Chris Cornell, Army of Anyone, The Beach Boys, John Mayer, Jerry Cantrell, Eric Johnson.

Movies:

Cool Hand Luke, The Big Lebowski, The Hustler, Tron, any James Bond, Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffanys (I have an eternal crush on Audrey Hepburn), Planes Trains and Automobiles, Star Wars Trilogy, Lord of The Rings Trilogy, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, Rushmore, Pulp Fiction, The Royal Tenenbaums, Raising Arizona, Bottle Rocket, Jaws, Casablanca, Rounders, Army of Darkness, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Edward Scissorhands, Memento

Television:

... does nothing for me in general. I must admit that I've enjoyed Arressted Development and 24 on DVD though. Also, since cable is free right now I do indulge in a movie here and there... and random history or science (nerd) show.

Books:

Don't Sweat The Small Stuff... because it's all small stuff, The Foundation Trilogy, The DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, Wherever You Go There You Are, Full Catastrophe Living, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Where The Wild Things Are, Steven King books, and any good cookbook.

Heroes:

Anyone who sticks their neck out for what they believe in while considering the impact on others... while living an honest life where they don't have to make excuses or explain their actions.
