I am here for Friends

About Me

We love fossicking for gemstones and gold. There's no feeling like finding a precious gem and imagining what it would look like after you process and set it. We spend many of our weekends in the great outdoors collecting gems, gold and semi precious stones and since we don't sell them we spend a lot of time during the week processing them for our display cabinets. We enjoy showing newcomers especially lapidary club members the correct way of locating gem material in ancient river systems and introducing them into reading the basic geology of a fossicking area. We spend a lot of our spare time metal detecting for gold nuggets and specimens on our local goldfields and have reasonable success. We enjoy meeting new people with the same interest and a passion for the outdoors. We also love fishing. We are mainly into tag and release. In general, we catch predominantly game fish and are heavily into recreational sportfishing. We spend most weekends in the great outdoors and outback Australia is our backyard.
