I don't know what to put here. What are you supposed to put here?

I'm pretty eclectic when you look at me on my own. But if you look at me against the background of my hometown, I look really normal.
I like to wear long flowing skirts that move in the slightest breeze during the summer, with only tanktops and maybe a sarong as a cover. I like to wear those same tanktops during the winter underneath t-shirts and sweatshirts and I just got a new poncho which will go over my big woolen coat. It rains in the winter in Santa Cruz, so I like wacky umbrellas.
I usually don't have much if any money, and if I have some, I will spend it immediately. Like a couple weeks ago, I sold my PS2 because I wasn't using it anymore, and I immediately turned around and bought a brand-new sewing machine for less.
I like anime and furries, and I like going to conventions for those hobbies. I am a furry, I have four different forms. Lioness, raccoon, raven, and rabbit. Technically, I also have wolf, but that's getting into totems and stuff. Right, okay. I like totems, astrology, numerology, tarot, and Wicca. Yup. Witch.
Don't. Ever. Say the word 'retard' to me, or in a comment to me. You will be immediately unfriended. I hate the word, and I hate the use of "that's so gay" as something bad, as well. Stop it or you're gone.

My Interests

Reading, writing, singing, drawing. Rollerskating, swimming, yoga, Tai Chi, Jujitsu. Sewing (machine and hand) clothing and costumes. Furries, SCA, Wicca. Athena and the Oak King. Myths and legends. Folklore and magic.
Talking on the phone, organizing, creating playlists on iTunes, listening to der iPod. Hanging out with friends, hanging out with der boyfriend. Watching Buffy/House with friends, watching Firefly with friends, watching Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings (all the way through) with friends.

Masking tape.

Mechanical pencils and minatures. Bright colored clothing, funky jewelry, short skirts and long pants. Platform sandals and flip-flops (thongs). Long skirts and tanktops.

I'd like to meet:

President Lincoln. He was a very tall man, even with the stovepipe hat, and some part of me wants to play chess with him and laugh as I lose. Don't ask why, because even I don't know.
Thomas Edison, to ask him about his method of progress. How did he anticipate the need for a record maker? How did he figure out how to make it all work?
Newton, for similar reasons as Thomas Edison.
Because I'm a geek, Harry Potter, if he were real. Actually, I'd rather meet Dumbledore or Hermione, because they're way cooler. ... I'm saying that about fictional characters!

Oh, and all my deceased relatives I can think of, so I can know where I came from. And find where my looks and personality come from.

Music:

God, so much stuff. I'll just throw out bands as I can think of them:
Barenaked Ladies, Guster, Evanescence, Nightwish, Therion, Modest Mouse, Garbage, Orgy, Good Charlotte, Iron Maiden, Led Zepplin, Norah Jones, Avril Lavigne, Everclear, Adam Ant, The Cure, Grieg, and so many others I'll just add more later.

Movies:

In no particular order:
V for Vendetta (omg), Serenity, Mirrormask (omg), The Princess Bride, the original Star Wars movies and the new internet remakes people have done of the newer ones, Big Fish, Ferris Bueller's Day Off (favorite movie), the first and last of the Indiana Jones movies, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, all three Lord of the Rings, Fight Club, American Beauty, Million Dollar Baby, Hotel Rwanda, Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and more as I think of them.

Television:

Argh. TV is... I don't watch that much TV. I veg out in front of it sometimes, but normally I just don't bother. The shows I like:
House MD. Better writers than Lost, more snark than Firefly, more complicated dialogue than...Fraiser, and smexier people than Buffy/Lost.
Lost. I swear that show was made entirely from the best writers ever seen. Agh!
Firefly. God, what a wonderful show. Better, if more depressing movie.
Buffy. Still working through Buffy one rental at a time with some friends.
Discovery Channel. The whole frickin' thing. Love it. I am geek.
Animal Planet. Love animals. So cool sometimes, and so sad other times.
Anime. Gotta love the anime. Or not. I like some specific shows. Like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Magic User's Club. Some things I like better as manga, though.

Books:

Holy shit. You had to ask this question didn't you. Goddamn. I work as a librarian and you ask me to put up some titles. Do you have any idea how geeky this is going to sound? Do you even care?

In no particular order, here are some awesome books.
Wicked, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, The City of Ember, any and every Harry Potter book (Chamber of Secrets isn't so great), The Winter Prince, "Catherine, Called Birdy", The Dark is Rising Sequence, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Hitchhiker's Trilogy (it's five books), "Sister Light, Sister Dark", The Dragon Queen, pretty much any Valdemar book (except for the new ones about Alberich, Mary Sues are yucky), The Alanna books, and more manga than you can shake a fist at. Seriously, over a hundred manga, over two hundred books. At least.
Okay, manga list, which should be shorter:
Tsubasa, Chobits, Angelic Layer (prequel to Chobits), Wish. All of that was by CLAMP. Now for the rest of it. Fushigi Yuugi, Doubt!!, Hot Gimmick, Fruitsbasket, Battle Angel Alita (old and new series), Hellsing, and Sailor Moon.

Heroes:

*sigh* My mom. I hate to sound all lame and suck-up-y, but she's really done well in her life and I'm extremely impressed. I couldn't have dealt with all that was going on and still been ... I don't know ... sane?
Batman. Batman is the shit. He can be my superhero any day. Him and Flash. Specifically Justice League Flash, though. I likes my skinny men. (And Superman specifically in Red Sun. I likeses my Elseworlds comics.)
