LATEST NEWS ON KAMI: They will be Touring to New Caledonia on the 24th of April.Kami's style is an islander fusion of hip hop, reggae, disco & funk, fronted by soulful vocals & backed by blissful harmonies.As a live act Kami offer a unique experience with all members competently singing lead during the course of the set, backed by an infectious, thumping reggae fused groove, sweetened by islander harmonies. Their shows are renowned for creating party atmosphere, with all attendence on the dancefloor for the duration of the set.The band have played consistently on the live circuit both nationally & internationally over the last 5 years, honing their musical skills, while pleasing ever growing crowds. They have performed live in their native Tonga, Hawaii, San Fransisco, Salt Lake City, Oakland, Sacramento and Las Vegas in 2002. In 2003 they performed live at The South Pacific games and were the featured artist with two concerts in Fiji, one in the capital Suva and another in Nadi. They also performed live in Auckland New Zealand in 2004.Kami recently played two live concerts in Tonga (July 2007)to thousands of appreciative locals.'For All You Clowns' is the title of their long awaited debut CD, available thru MGM in all music stores, downloads are also available thru itunes. The album features a combination of live and Studio recordings, it captures the raw energy of their renowned live performances, which was recorded while they were on tour. Kami have also created their own unique style through their studio recordings.The studio recordings were all written by Kami and express' their life experiences.
