Austin & Matrisha of Bajuana Tea have been brewing for over ten years and have a soulful, smoky blend of organic rock originals inspired by blues, 60's classics, folk and funky jam bands. Their all-natural sound is unique and raw in a way that engages the listener and excites the senses.
Bajuana Tea self-recorded their first album, 100% Natural, in their home studio and released their second heavily steeped political blend, Something's Got To Change in 2007. On New Year's Eve this year, they completed the circle and release their first acoustic creation, Take A Sip, and are planning to expand what they can offer and continue having a great time playing as much as possible and sharing their original sound with the community.
Bajuana Tea is diverse in their practiced ability to perform electrically charged rock sets and mellow, acoustic environments without missing a beat and exude a joy when performing in both arenas that is palpable and honest. Take A Sip is packed with emotionally-charged songs designed to reach the other half of their audience and had been long awaited and requested by family, fans and friends.
Performing at a wide variety of events including parties, weddings, outdoor festivals, picnics, birthdays, restaurants, stores and celebrations, Bajuana Tea performs electric and acoustic set that include unique originals and classic songs with a passion for the music and the stage.
Bajuana Tea enjoys playing at many local venues such as Agate Alley Bistro, Papa's Soul Food Kitchen, Silvan Ridge Winery, The Red Lion, The Landmark in Yachats, Diablo's, World Flavors, Saturday Market, Wetlands, WineStyles, Axe & Fiddle, Mac's at The Vet's Club, Earl's Juke Joint and many more.
We have also been fortunate to participate in some special local events including Hayward Field's Eugene 08, 2007 & 2008 Grrrlz Rock Series, Breakfast With The Blues radio show, benefits for organizations such as LEAD, Food For Lane County, Mayor Kitty Piercy's Campaign, The Bus Project, WOW Hall and several individual occasions such as weddings, birthday parties, holiday parties, and of course for musicians and survivors of illness in need.
