MY PEN-GAME NEEDS A SHRINK

About Me

J-Reed hails originally from Yonkers NY, home of many known talents in this game. In a nutshell I've been singing since the age of 10. I've sang in a number of talent shows, won many competitions, and performed many large venues including MSG and The Vatican. I've been in a few groups, the longest lasting and most influential on my current artistry would be "Reality". After being the typical youngest cutest front man for my group "Reality" it actually set in. Puberty turned me into just another regular in the group. My heavy high ranged tenor no longer remained, what was still there was an insecure, scared to mess up in front of a crowd pubesant voice. I finally coped with not getting all the attention and took it in stride. I learned how to care more about the overall sound of the group and not just my selfish solos. After the fall of the group I had regained my confidence but it was still not what it use to be. At the age of 18 I began writing as to not be "just a voice". It turned out that it was as natural a talent as singing was. I started recording the songs I'd write, and having 5 years experience with a group that sang mostly Boyz II Men and Jodeci only proved to be an important key to my arrnagements. Today I am still writing and recording not in hopes of STARDOM and FAME (Now you know I'm lyin my ass off!!! LOL) but just to let my talent be shown. Whether I be a background vocalist, songwriter, artist, or mere go to guy for a note or two here or there just remember that you will know when J-Reed is in the building.found this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments

R&B Live Performance in The New Millenium

So I've been wondering for a while what happened to performance in R&B music. I've been heavily influenced by 90's R&B which in my opinion and many others has been the height of the genre. Bac...
