Your Passion is Purple!
You've got a ton of passion, but you don't always wear it on your sleeve.
If something truly excites you, you let your inner intensity shine through.
But otherwise, your passion tends to morph into energy ... which you never lack.
You're a balanced woman, knowing when to turn on the fire in your heart.
What Type of Passionate Woman Are You?
Folks who can keep it real with me, others, and most importantly, themselves. People making positive changes on any scale. People who are *genuinely* passionate and kind and not just trying to win some popularity contest. People who are good to who they call family and friends, and who won't take me for granted. People who keep me in check and challenge me for the better. My kids, grandkids, and ancestors. And anybody else in between because everyone is a learning experience.
Oh and I think I should mention that I am NOT looking for you, the random hookup guy. Uhhh no. You are not the shit. I've given you plenty of material to draw from, so if you can't think of anything else to say to me other than "ay cutie, can i feel u up sometime?" (yes, I've really received messages like that) then unless you were the star of Edward Scissorhands or Brick, that shit won't work. So leave me alone. Mahalo.
a lot.
I'm a wannabe movie buff, and I enjoy films of all genres. I'm the type that HAS to see the movie on the big screen (preferably in an old-school kine theater) and the type that HAS to buy the widescreen version. And if you're gonna watch a movie with me, I will demand that you be quiet and ask no questions. Haha. Anyway...all time favorites include Children of Men, Whale Rider, Easy, Rabbitproof Fence, Bad Education, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Truman Show, Titanic! (yea I know), School of Rock, Wayne's World, The Graduate, pretty much anything with a John Williams (e.g. E.T., Harry Potter, Indiana Jones) or Thomas Newman musical score (e.g. Shawshank Redemption, Road to Perdition, Finding Nemo), and though I've come to accept that they're racist, most animated Disney movies since 1985 (shh don't tell). Musicals. Musical biopics. Dancing movies with tight moves and lame plotlines. British comedies. Sundance Channel OnDemand. Mindfucks. American movies from the 1960s. Indie films from the heart of Oceania. M. Night Shyamalan's stuff. Screen translations of the novel. OCD characters.
And the list goes on. Long story short, I watch a lot of movies and the list of movies I don't like is actually a lot shorter: Grease 2 and Happily N'ever After. The end.
So, I guess the I'm-a-cool-busy-and-educated-person-type response would be "I don't watch TV 'cause it fries your brains and I'm far too cool, busy, and educated for that mess" blah blah blah. Well sorry to disappoint. Haha. 'cause when I can I watch The Daily Show, HBO programs (Big Love, Sex and the City, Entourage), Law and Order, Law and Order: SVU, The Office, House, Whose Line reruns, and The Simpsons. I secretly (actually not so secretly) enjoy reality TV of the trashy and trashier variety (Project Runway, Top Chef, Kimora, Shot at Love, America's Next Top Model) and prefer to wait til the marathon leading up to the big finale to start watching. I yell at the TV watching random game shows, and I WILL be on Family Feud one day. Finally, I enjoy lots of good edu-tainment: Nova and other PBS specials, Animal Planet countdowns, Planet Earth, MythBusters, How Stuff Works, and depending on the subject, an occasional History Channel program.
Harry Potter!! The third one's still my favorite :) Most fantasy/science fiction books like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, 1984, Stranger in a Strange Land, Ender's Game, Fairy Tales :) Ooh! And The Giving Tree and Berenstain Bears books. Other favorites include The Power of One, The Joy Luck Club, and Woman Warrior. I honestly don't read as much as I should, but I'm easily amused and can get into anything really.
I want to be my own hero.
