I grew up as small town girl from Hoopeston, IL [home of the CORNJERKERS: population 6,000:)] and then I spent most of my high school years in Defiance, OH. As soon as I graduated from Ohio Northern University, I was anxious to live and work in NYC. I worked in the TV/radio entertainment industry. I had a blast interviewing celebs for Westwood One Radio and CBS television!After my experience with 9/11, I returned back to the Midwest and started working in Advertising/Marketing as an Associate Producer for the Media Department at Universal Digital Communications. 3 months later, I was promoted to Consultant/Associate Director of College Market Sales and PR. A year later, I was inspired by a few college mentors (Adriane, Leon, Rochelle,Sherman, and Keshia) at Ohio Northern University to make a career change into Higher Education. It was one of the best decisions of my life!I have experience working as an Admissions recruiter and an Assistant Director at universities in OH, FL and TX. I was working full-time at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Recently, I accepted a job with the University of Texas-Austin (Go Longhorns!, sorry MIAMI HurriCANES:( ) I am in school finishing up my master's degree. I have a passion to mentor college students and teach Communications/Diversity courses at the college level.I love connecting with old friends and making new ones. I am a fan of all kinds of music, the arts, traveling across the world, meeting people, volunteering at charities, movies and entertainment news/TV shows, running and playing sports. I am very ambitious and adventurous! I like to meet people who don't waste time and live life to the fullest!!! I am interested in getting to know you so drop me a line:).
I have recently relocated to Texas to be closer to family. Yes, I have lived in 5 different states (IL, OH, NY, FL, and TX) and I won't be slowing down anytime soon:)~
