I am 27 years old, married (to a musician, of course) and together we have one child, our little girl, who is 4. I live on the outskirts of Birmingham and work as a CAD draftsman for a local Land Surveying company. I like to fish, swim and draw...that's about the extent of my "hobbies". I spend most of my spare time catering to a 4 year old princess and doing any side work that I get. As you may have guessed, I have no "life". Sorry folks, I am a boring person. That's what happens when you marry a musician and try to have a family at the same time. There is only so much free time allotted for hobbies, and my husband's band takes up all of it. If you ask him, he will tell you that I have the option to go out with my friends any time I want, however, all of my friends are ALSO married to men with time consuming hobbies and 90% of the time they are stuck with the kids. All of us actually scheduling a time that we can all be 1. off work, 2. no kids, 3. extra cash is next to impossible, therefore it never happens, so don't let him give you that bullcrap. Now, I COULD go off with a bunch of guys that have ditched THEIR wives for the evening, but hubby wouldn't like that a bit I'm sure...Word to the wise, all of you that want to marry a musician, or someone with an outrageous hobby, don't have kids until the "musician" phase is COMPLETELY over. Otherwise, while they are out touring, partying and living it up with their friends, you'll be stuck at home with the kids because SOMEONE has to be responsible for raising them other than YOUR parents. No you can't go to every show, you have no sitter, and plus you have to work tomorrow, so no, you can't go with everyone to the big show at the beach. This is recipe for disaster....You don't think I'm a teensy bit bitter do you???
