About Me

MyGen Profile Generator This is the bit where I'm supposed to sum up who I am and what I stand for in a few snappy lines.....
....

Bollocks. My mind's gone totally blank!!!

Duck, you're about to get soaked!!!

My Interests

  • Being Nice - (click here)
  • Readin'.Writin''Rithmetic. (Not) Skating Rocks and Skating Rolls!!. Check out the London Roller Girls!!! I love Snowboarding. It is lots of fun (especially the broken bones) Playing football. Gigs & Music Festivals & Live music and stuff like that. Travelling the world (SE Asia, NZ) although it's been a while... Global warming.... This I don't love. OK well, the heatwaves are pretty cool. (Did you spot my clever play of words there?). But I don't want to end up having to swim to work (Waterworld style). So I'm going green. Well green(er).

    I'd like to meet:

Kylie Minogue (For the 15 year old schoolboy in me who will never grow up). Shaznay Lewis (For the 20 year old student in me who will never grow up). Two words. Spider & Man..... (Nuff Said) Philip K Dick and Ian M Banks and other literary geniuses?....geniui?...?? I would seriously like to meet various politicians and ask them what the hell they think they're doing.

    Music

    Music:

Last Thing I Bought: A Weekend In The City - Bloc Party (No I'm not the guy from the band) Mostly I like guitar music... so alternative / indie / rock etc. But I sometimes can appreciate life without guitars too.
Examples? Hmmm OK... Chilis, Coldplay, Radiohead. Queens Of The Stone Age... Portishead, PJ Harvey, Dido. Due to time spent in NZ... Bic Runga, Goldenhorse, Fur Patrol...
Erm.... I have some Spice Girls CDs....no wait, don't go.... I have All Saints CDs too.... I am not ashamed.

    Movies:

I like lots of films, here are a few... Shaun Of The Dead Fight Club Grosse Point Blank Zoolander The Matrix Bend It Like Beckham Gladiator Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind X-Men 2 Star Wars Trilogy Lord Of the Rings Trilogy... long but worth it. The Truman Show. I saw this on TV the other day and remembered what piece of genius that film is!

    Television:

A little bit of Big Brother.... OK more than a little. Um, it really is a fascinating social commentary... etc etc
    South Park!!!!
    Lots of Sci Fi stuff

    Books:

His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman is great.
Ian (M) Banks is always good.
Philip K Dick... crazy but cool.
Sophie's World was good... had to smack myself in the head at the ending though.
Lord of The Rings, long but worth it.
    1984

    Heroes:

Spiderman has been my hero since I was 8 years old.....
I'm not 8 anymore, but Spidey still rocks.

    Meetings
