About Me
PLEASE DON'T TAKE US TOO SERIOUSLY.
WE JUST WANNA HAVE FUN
Alright. Heres a semi-real bio for you all.
Its October(I think). Teddy and Ryan are bored. Teddys been listening to alot of techno and grindcore. He also recently got FL studio 7. They decide at like, 3 am one night, hey we should form a grindcore band. They decide to have practice the next day. Unfortunately, Teddy's computer speakers break and he can't program it, so they use his dads old keyboard. Cem was there that day too. The First like, 5 songs off of The M@N-T0N EP were recorded that day. Then we all got kicked out of Teddy's house. A week later we recorded the rest of the songs on that EP. We sold a total of 5 copies, and used the revenues to buy lunch.
After this first release, we had reached some popularity, mainly with our friends, and a little on the internet, mainly via the SSS. Teddy became friends with another amateur musician, ANDTHEMASSACREBEGINS, and the 2 decided to release a split EP. Cem was also featured on this EP, but due to some technical difficults, (ATMB got deleted like 4 times from myspace), the EP was never released. Many of the songs did however make it onto our myspace player.
A few weeks later, in November, Ryan and Teddys Family were planning on spending Thanksgiving Day together. Ryan and Teddy Figured this would be a great time to record a new EP. It ended up being a large percentage of what is now the Grumpy Old Man In A Raincoat EP. It was released online when we hit 5,000 plays and was physically released at our march 1st show. A bit after this happened, M@N-T0N played their first show to a crowd of maybe 20. It was a great time.
After this we did occasional recordings, contributing tracks to, Satan Clause: A Christmas Comp. (released through THO records), Kittens Pudding and Robots(A split EP with 1EyedRobot and many others(still unreleased), and a few terrible songs that we are saving for our B-sides album. Then, a terrible thing happened, our recording device, A creative zen, broke. We sought out many other ways to record, but none have proved good enough.
Although we can no longer record, we are still writing music, ready for our next release. We recently released "M@N-T0N and ROOTBEER CAT fight evil!" a split EP with noisecore band ROOTBEER CAT, using the songs left over from out ATMB split. Our last major feat was playing a show on March 1st. We drew a bigger crowd then ever expected, and made enough money to buy another creative zen so we can start recording again. Be Prepared for a new cd by late April!
If you read this whole thing, I love you.
