Gilmore Girls; what can I say? I love coffee. Sadly, I am also another CSI: Las Vegas junkie. loads of BBC drama, preferably containing costumes and sad lovestories that end well after all. My Name Is Earl gives me unexpected pleasure. Love the Randy character. Battlestar Galactica, the original series. Maybe pulpy fake Star Wars, but I love it just the same.
New find; Phillip Reeve's books, falling into the youngster category; Mortal Engines, Predator's Gold; all of them are fine and filled with adventure. New fiction; Sleeping In Flame by Jonathan Carroll, Neil Gaiman, Chuck Palahniuk, Douglas Coupland. Writers I love a little more than others; anything by Roddy Doyle. John Irving, especially his older work, especially if it features rugby and/or bears. Often in my top ten ever; Umberto Eco's Il Nome Della Rosa; classic. That book screws the Da Vinci Code up it's commercial ass. Fantasy/SF; Jon Courtenay Grimwood's Arabesk series. Just bought book eleven of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series. Excellent! Old children books. Not strange I like Dutch authors alot, especially Thea Beckman's Crusade In Jeans. Annie M.G. Schmidt. Lately fell off the Potter band wagon and jumped onto Garth Nix's joyride; check out his Keys To The Kingdom series, which I look forward to MORE than the last Potter book. Also Phillip Pullman, esp the His Dark Materials series.
