’EL’E’VEN is a contraction of Hellheaven. Not exactly hell nor heaven, but rathera little of both – could be the very essence of the world were we live or simply the basic human condition.
’EL’E’VEN is a contraction of where we stand. Not exactly who we are, butrather how we are – just as you are: sometimes overly affected, yet never wishing to be unaffected.
’EL’E’VEN is simply a contraction of a collective. Not exactly united, butrather a group of individuals who share a common aim – music to enjoy.
So, when did it all begin? No-one is really sure. A song here, a song there, help given, ideas shared: thus the collectivewas born. Not so very different to the way things generally come about – an evolution of musical ideas that eventuallycried out for an identity.
’EL’E’VEN is that identity. Songs about the way we feel, the things we see anddo, places, people – the hurt that wrecks us, the love that makes us.
’EL’E’VEN is no one individual, nor band as such, but merely the spirit of the time and place where we live.
