Songs are based on Tomas' lyrics and melodies. He has collaborated with several of the more known artists of Bergen, Kristiansand, Grimstad and Oslo. This band was established the summer of 2005 in Bergen. By putting ads on the internet Tomas gathered a group of semi-professional musicians from in and around Bergen. None of them knew each other from before, except Frode and Tomas who were past work colleagues.Tomas himself had been in several funk- and rock bands since 1994 and wanted to explore other musical genres. After touring both Norway and The Netherlands with bands like Maroon and T.Å.K., he took the melancholy to another level.The original line-up consisted of only Linn, Frode, Eivind, Tomas and Åge - their first horn player. This line-up performed several concerts before they got a drummer. But in March 2007 the group could finally join forces with Magnus Åserud Skylstad - a local recognized drummer with several hundred shows on his back, some of them together with acts like William Hut and Trine Rein.After a while, dabbing around with different horn players, the band ended up with trumpet player Tomas Bjørnstad. He is a student at the Grieg Achademy of music in Bergen and is still involved in different jazz projects around Norway.The band members are now spread over three counties within Norway, but are better and more focused than ever before.Before Magnus joined the band, November Homecoming had only played small stages in and around Bergen, but on Norwegian Labour Day - May the 1st, the band performed a set in front of 7000 people at the town's square in Bergen. The month after they played Oslo Summer festival and in Kristiansand during the unofficial club part of the Quart Festival the following month.
