r&b & hip hop singer/songwriter/performer ------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone!! My name is Tubi, I was born and raised in Oakland California. As most of you might now, singing has aways been a huge part of my life. I was introduced to music by my father and uncles who are all musicians. The first time i sat in front of my first piano it was love at first sight. It all began at the age of 5, my father began teaching me scales and various classical pieces. The funny thing was, i never paid attention to reading the music, I just wanted to learn the songs by heart or by ear and i would practice and play for hours and hours a day. Sometimes, i would just play my own made-up melodies. It was then when I realized my appreciation for the art of music. As I got older, i discovered the ablity to sing and express myself musically. It happened at around age 13, my friends would tell me to sing all the time and that I had a good voice. So, one day I went with some friends to a karaoke joint and sang a song on stage and got a really good response from the audience, everyone clapped and screamed and let me tell you, the feeling I got from that was amazing! To be able to share something you love with people... AND they appreciate it, it was like a high! And since then I am ADDICTED! So, to make a long story short I've been recording and writting songs from then on, in San Francisco with a couple of talented music producing friends of mine, John Mason & Paul Sirate. I intend on continuing the persuit of my dream and creating music for anyone who's got their ears open and willing to enjoy what I do. I'm also doing live gigs locally so, if you want to come thru, feel free to do so, you're more than welcome!! I'll see you there:) I will start listing the shows on here.
