glitter-graphics.com Im Mariyn Monroe, born Norma Jean Mortenson at 9:30 am June 1st 1926 in The General Hospital in LA, My mother Gladys Pearl Monroe was 24 when she gave birth to me, The man who was on my birth certificate Edward Mortenson was not my father, When I was 12 I found out I had a half sister Bernice Miracle who was in Detroit, I couldn't afford the trip to go visit her until 1944 When I was 17, we shared the same mother but different fathers. I do not want to talk about my father he never wanted to meet me.When I was a little girl my dream was to become a star and to be adored by the world, Luckily for me my dream of becoming a star came true, It was no easy ride to stardom, I started off with small modeling assignments some sucsessful others not so much, I had several knockbacks along the way, The biggest help to my sucsess was Johnny, Johnny Hyde an agent and true friend, He took me to all the right places and introduced me to all the right people, I loved Johnny very much.I have been married three times, my first marrige was when I was 16 to James ( Jim ) Dougherty June 19th 1942, we divored Sep 13th 1946, my second marrige was to Joe Dimaggio Jan 14th 1954 in San Franciscos City Hall the divorce was finalized oct 31st 1955,and my third marrige was to playwright Arthur Miller we wed in a civil ceremony June 29th 1956 then we had a Jewish wedding July 1st 1956.
