BIO:
A six piece, melodic, Southern Hardcore band emerging from the Appalachian Mountain region of Northeast Tennessee. Their original sound is achieved by blending the heart and soul of post hardcore with modern metal-core. A touch of ambience and a pinch of southern flavor collide in the mix and this collaboration forms Big Rig's authentic sound. Originally the band consisted of five members when Big Rig decided to begin their musical endeavor, but many members pursued to make the addition of an additional member which would add depth and set them apart from the generic hardcore scene. Teaming up in the studio with award-winning Nashville producer, Brent Hendrich, they recorded a five track debut EP with one song featuring The Showdown's David Bunton, courtesy of Mono vs. Stereo records. Each member's vast array of musical interests helps to craft this unique sound ranging anywhere from death metal to ambient . Chunky rhythms, head-turning leads, ear-shattering vocals, and hard-hitting double bass grab the listeners attention within seconds. After a close listen, the audience notices a collaboration of choirs, strings, and samples that send their interest into overdrive. Their catchy vocal lines and sing-a-longs urge the crowd to stay involved while brutal breakdowns erupt from the stage. Big Rig has enjoyed the privilege of sharing the stage with such bands as The Showdown, Chasing Victory, Classic Case, Sullivan, Job For a Cowboy, Becoming the Archetype, As Blood Runs Black,Secret Lives of the Freemasons and many other well-known artists. Remaining proud of their heritage, Big Rig strives to remind the audience of what it means to be an American.
