Biography:
Having spent the vast majority of his life in the confines of a small, quiet neighborhood just outside of Dallas, KT grew up trying to do everything that a normal, middle class suburban kid would do. He tried everything from sports to skateboarding and still didnt feel like he had found his niche. In a neighborhood filled with cliques, fitting in was something KT had a difficult time doing.
As if "not belonging" wasnt enough, KT and his family suffered the loss of a beloved grandmother at a time in his life that was already filled with confusion and chaos: puberty. Needless to say, fitting in was the least of the young mans worries after the sad news. Shortly after his grandmothers death, he and some of his family and friends noticed a change in his moods. Sometimes he would be happy and social, and other times, he would be reclusive with an almost explosive temper. Because he didnt fully understand why he felt the way he did, he didnt think it wise to let his family and friends know about his feelings.
Instead of trying to cover the feelings with drugs or alcohol, like many of his acquaintances did, KT decided to express his feelings in a way that was the most comfortable for him: writing. He began writing simple poems, and later started writing verses, which later led to his passion for recording his emotions. Once he realized he had a flair for writing verses, he resolved to begin a journey into music production.
He has simple, yet attainable goals for himself and his music;
1.To be able to reach any kind of crowd, whether its the crunk/hype or the hip hop heads.
2.With the release of his first mixtape, Where It All Starts, he hopes to move over 2000 CDs locally.
There isnt a single category you can place KT. He can take you inside his heart, to the things he has see and been around, and then turn the party up in a matter of minutes. No matter what anyone says, KT is only the 17 year old man he wants to be. Yes, he is from Texas...but does not portray the "typical TX" image. However, he integrates his Texas background and his creative rapping style to bring another new element to the table of rap. Inspired by many, KT thanks the many rappers before and the artist now whom have given a hand towards his small success.
He quotes
"Music is a way for people to like...look into my eye. Its like..no matter how much I talk about my life...if you really want to listen..then listen to my music..so you can feel the same pain I went through..walk the same dark roads I walked..sometimes alone..I love my music."
