I guess if you're reading this you want to know a little something more about me than what I look like. My life has changed drastically since August of '06. Things I thought I liked, I found I didn't. People I thought I wanted to be, I found I actually don't want to be anything like. My life pretty much started falling apart. I've been doing my best since then to establish some sort of normalcy, but I realize that I'm changing and I believe it's for the best.
I've come to realize that I'm simply not like any other gay guy I've met on this site. I don't enjoy the whole "clubbing" scene, I went once, and I hope I never have to go back. Fashion isn't my cup of tea. I'm not a whore that just wants sex. I just don't fit the "artistic" mold. And most of all, I don't wish I was a woman. Yes, I know what I just said isn't all that accurate or true, but it sure seems like it is at times.
I've tried all those things to various degrees. Some of them I thought would be ok, but I soon got bored of. Others, I just never found appealing. I'm me, a various blend of some of what I just said and varying other non-gay attributes.
I'm a pretty simple person. My two main interests would have to be music and animals. About 90% of the time I am doing something that involves either of those, if not both at the same time. I'm a pianist, and I've played for I guess nine years now. I don't do it near as much as I used to, but I still enjoy doing it, especially when I feel overwhelmed. Listening to music is my other get away. I listen to all kinds of genres. There is at least one artist I like in just about every field of music. I listen from Mozart to Marilyn Manson and everywhere inbetween.
I also have four dogs, four birds, and a cat of my own. I also have volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center for almost 7 years now, and I do that at least twice a week. I'm a vegetarian about 90% of the time. I have weird thoughts on that matter, if you want to know, ask. I don't have a problem with meat-eaters, and I won't shove my beliefs on them if they don't shove theirs on me. I used to think I wanted to be a veterinarian, but recently I have started seriously questioning my ability to handle various aspects of the job. I don't think I could do it morally. Time will tell.
As a general rule I'm not a very social person. I don't have many friends, and I don't make them easily. That doesn't mean I'm not a nice person. I love the friends I have, and I love spending time with them. We never do anything too crazy or outrageous, but I like to think I have my moments. You never quite can tell what might happen in a night with me, but usually they turn out to be pretty boring.
I always enjoy meeting new people. Just no liars, cheats, whores, drama starters, or drug addicts. Those are pretty much my pet peeves. I had my problem with lying in the past, and I've learned the error in my ways. I won't sermon you on that. I'm not really looking for anything more than friends right now, but if it happens it happens. I've kind of settled on the fact that there isn't anybody in this city that's right for me. As far as I'm concerned I fucked up the one good thing I had, and I don't really think I'm completely over that yet. Thus is life...
