Deirdre Jackman is a native of Kilkenny in Ireland...a place steeped in music.She's been writing songs for several years now and showcased some of her songs last year in the Music Club in Ryans of Kilkenny.Deirdre, or Dee to everyone who knows her, has been singing since she was a teenager and was the lead singer in a great rock band called "JUST" doing covers from Skunk Anansie to rocked up versions of Irish ballads. Her material has been compared to Damien Rice and Sarah McLaughlin...but you decide yourself.One of her own songs "How Many Times", a poignant story about her Dad, was featured on KCLR to fantastic reviews.
