Band Website: Here!
Band Members: Rick - Guitars / Vocals (guy writing songs but others will 2 but ill make sure theyre decent)DRUMS ON THESE EP TRACKS (Michelle, Osiris and Sirens Serenade) BY SAM PAVEY......The rest of the musicians Ill sort out when touch down in Espagna.... only a month away now.
Influences: 5 Most Important Bands:- The Corrs (probably the closest to what I imagine to be the best blend of pop / rock ever with some *intelligence* to it - and live the best band you can ever see - they knock U2 to a shade of grey even though U2 are amazing - U2 are GODS - believe me but just personal preference...) - Oasis (how many bands can do what they do / the consistency / the stage presence / though they seem a bit arrogant I love their music) - No Doubt (So varied / so talented at everything / so non mainstream yet became so but so damn amazing...) - Ash (For proving the Irish probably are the best song writers going - just so damn good for rock band its scary) - Creed - (Tremonti is easily the best American writer and guitarist in ages and Stapp what a voice).Top Guitarists - Song Writers - (No particular order) - Jim Corr (seriously cool with a Fender! Just love the melodies this guy can create - hes got awesome phrasing and was ace live when seen them play) - Tim Dumont of No Doubt - (such a damn amazing player both technically and also in terms of phrasing and everything! Awesome live and just so damn good) - Mark Tremonti Creed / Alter Bridge - Awesome - just amazing player esp for shred but is a brilliant player who cuts back and boosts up when needed - Noel Gallagher - just for being a great blues rock guitarist - not a speed player but knows how to write great riffs and songs - reminds me lead wise very much of Mick Ronson (Bowie fame) and Paul Weller. Dan Erkstein - Hoobastank - what a man. Cool guy awesome guitarist and U2s the Edge.Oh and I forgot to mention the dark horse - Dave Stewart of Euyrthmics is an abosoloute GOD... Carlos Santana and maybe.... of course Clapton as well and you have it. Theyre the best of the best. Theyre just amazing. Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac and ok.... well there it is... pfff Im blabbing... ok...More bands love: - Eurthymics, Annie Lennox, M2M, Marit Larsen, Marian Raven, Lene Marlin, Janis Joplin, Tracy Chapman, Oasis, Ash, No Doubt, Weezer, Creed, Pearl Jam, Alter Bridge, Nickelback, Cast, U2, The Corrs, Metallica, Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, Hoobastank, HIM, A-HA, The Pet Shop Boys, Paul Oakenfold, Fat Boy Slim, The Prodigy, Air, Trust, Samantha Mumba, Belinda Carlisle, The Corrs, Let Loose, Savage Garden, Take That, Robbie Williams, Bryan Adams, SemiSonic, Ocean Colour Scene, The Verve, Razorlight, The Beatles, The Eagles, The Doors, Poison, Europe, WhiteSnake, Motley Crue, Guns and Roses, Velvet Revolver, Hoobastank, The Ramones, Thin Lizzy, Charlotte Hatherley, Lene Marlin, Blondie, The Bangles, INXS, PLANTINUM BLONDE! Oh Yeah, The Scorpions, Modern Talking, Otis Reading, Hank Marvin, Eric Clapton, Cream, Dr Dre, TuPac, 50 Cent, Anthony Sergovia, Die Toten Hosen, Mandy Moore, Nelly Furtado, Ace of Base, REM, Queen, Paul Oakenfold, all the Radio 1 DJ's. All the Ibiza Club DJ's and all the Canary Islands residents in GOLD TENERIFE!Speaking of influences: - Culd anyone do a song or a cover better than this: -
I THINK NOT!!!!Is this level of perfection audially and in terms of sonics impossible to reach: -The Corrs with Dreams and Mick Fleetwood! What a damn good song. If you wanna pick up on some of the great music picked up from friends in Eurozone and considering Im moving back to the continent here is M2M got to know them from people in the Netherlands.... these girls are from Norway not from USA as some think... if you like Jewel you will love them.... kinda like Michelle Branch.... Subsequently Marion Raven was singing with Meatloaf on a new CD - girl who is the Brunette i think if i heard something on the web right. Check it out: -Best times I had in my life can literally be traced to swimming and snorkeling around the Canary Islands (Buchannon style!), not quite though! Corrs in CIA, Wales, 1999, Corrs in 2004 in Vienna at Schonenberg Castle July 7th... and the U2 Vertigo concert in Cardiff in 2005/6, Beachpop in Netherlands in Zandevoort as its just the best thing in the world, nothing compares.... erm... Im going on....More Corrs. This one is from the 1996 debut Album I think it was 96.... Forgiven Not Forgotten. What I love about these guys is they know how to do music, and not overkill their songs, they get exactly the right tone for their songs, especially on guitar. Mood and ambience should dictate the tone of the guitar, so many bands overkill with distortion these days. This is very much like the Indoor Arena shows you get many bands doing...They are so damn good. Man I remember getting so much flak and stick in 6th form for liking them when everyone was going Oasis mad. Yet I've seen Oasis play to 80,000 and the concert straight after Liam got his teeth knocked out in Germany - that was the CIA concert back in 2002.This was M2M / Marion Raven who was singing with Meatloaf back on his latest album I think it was. I guess for me it would have to be Andrea, Marit and Marion as favourite singers. This was MTV version of "Everything". This is just such a damn good pop song. Anyone reading this is going to think I have too feminine a taste in music.
Either way these guys and the Corrs I feel are a lesson in clean tones with a guitar and what you can do with clean guitar. You dont need to have a Les Paul or PRS or a Fender rocked up on the crunch or lead channels. Sure for some music but clean guitar too me when used effectively is soo damn cool. Theyre a lesson like Andy Summers in the Police was in clean guitar. Either way theyre Norwegian not American.... lol... you wouldnt think it. Were huge out in Asia. Everything was one of the best songs of this decade so far i think... I dont know... it just works. If you ever get a chance to go to the Netherlands you can find tons of bars where you get music like this live every night in places such as Haarlem and Zandevoort.Who wants a nightclub when you got this?!And this: -Such a damn good song this is the Corrs live.... Right Time...AndThe Love To Love You..!And this is just a classic song.... better than Vertigo....Yet still huge U2 fan....This just is....Oh man...
Sounds Like: Hoobastank, Creed, Oasis, Ash, The Corrs, M2M, Marit Larsen, Lene Marlin, Michelle Branch, The Wreckers (she has a new band?! more country texas style!), Vanessa Carlton, The Eurythmics, U2, The Bangles, No Doubt all "good and proper melodic" music - oh and FLEETWOOD MAC - but none of the stuff here is right at the moment as it was just rocking out on a Marshall Crunch channel!
