The Good, The Bad (not so much, but it takes all kinds) and the Ugly.
Sheela-na-gigs are figurative carvings of naked women displaying an exaggerated vulva and are normally found on churches, castles and other buildings primarily in Ireland and Great Britain. Some say it means "the old hag of the breasts" or "Sheila on her hunkers". Some also refer to her as a territorial and war-like goddess. The figures are sometimes shown to brides on their wedding days because, to some, they represent fertility. At the same time, some use the figures as a warning against lust and sins of the flesh. There's also some folkloric evidence that the devil can be warded off if he spies a female's private parts. Take that Devil! Bam! Whatever way you want to look at it ... the song fucking rocks.
This movie looks funny in all kinds of ways ...
Have I ever told you that Randy, Stan's Dad, from South Park is exceptionally funny to me? Yeah ... he looks kinda like my dad, too.

I'm currently reading The Bell by Iris Murdoch. It's quite beautiful ... you may remember that Kate Winslet and Dame Judi played Iris in the movie of the same name. She's my new favorite author. I'm kicking myself that I've never read her before now. The Olde Gentleman and I are currently reading Wolves of Calla, the fifth book in the Dark Tower series. Welcome back, Father Callahan. There's a town called Son of a Bitch. I like that.
My husband. My family. My dear friends, near and far, who have stuck with me through thick and thin, emotionally and physically. I give thanks to these people everyday. Siwitch, L'rin and the Crabbles Two.
