About Me

…a riveting storyteller… "Good News" has the punch-in-the-gut resonance of a tough, unsparing short story. - Rambles.net
Listen to “Good News,”…if the hairs on the back of your neck aren’t standing at attention by the end of it, you haven’t been paying attention…nearly every track on Blurry White Guy, shows an occasional flash of brilliance, even genius. - Music Reviewer
….one of the more intriguing country albums of the past year…Houston is probably one of the best musical paeans to the Katrina Disaster that anyone has written/recorded. Wildy’s World
…the best song ("Good News")of 2008! - Johanna J. Bodde, Radio Winschotten NL
Let Me Carry This…irresistible for its smooth rhythms and John Gardner's highly musical drumming. The singer's elevated passion near the end induces gooseflesh…he has indeed subverted country while honoring it. Mission accomplished. - Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange
Lykins is an artist who is true to himself and who I feel is nothing but real to his fans/listener. “Greetings from the Riviera”… words so potent and yet hauntingly true. – Skope Magazine
....an electric album that never loses its acoustic style. This is bound to be one of those CD’s that will never leave your car stereo. That is, until your girlfriend steals it after she breaks up with you. AmericanaOK Euro CD Reviews:
