A NOTE TO THOSE WHO BATTLE TEMPTATION AND FEEL AS IF THEY ARE LOSING THE BATTLE; THERE IS HOPE!!!! DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED!!! DO NOT GIVE UP!!! AS A CHRISTIAN, YOU ARE A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST; CHRIST LIVES IN YOU, HE WILL SHOW YOU THE WAY BUT YOU DO HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY IN SEEKING THAT GUIDANCE. GO TO GOD DAILY IN PRAYER AND ASK HIM TO DIRECT YOUR PATHS, ASK HIM TO GIVE YOU STRENGTH, ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOU FOR WHEN YOU HAVE SLIPPED UP, AND ASK HIM TO RESTORE YOU AND HE WILL!! 2 PETER TALKS ABOUT MEN RETURNING TO SIN AS A DOG RETURNS TO ITS VOMIT...A DOG DOESN..'T KNOW ANY BETTER, BUT AS NEW CHRISTIANS WE DO KNOW BETTER BUT AT TIMES FIND OURSELVES AS WEAK AS THE DOG!! HERE IS A DEEPER LOOK AT THAT PASSAGE: 2 Peter 2:17-22 NIV 17These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 18For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. 19They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity--for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. 20If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 22Of them the proverbs are true: .."A dog returns to its vomit,” and, .."A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud..." This passage can be used as a sobering wake-up call for us to avoid returning to our old sin habits after having found freedom. Our old habits are like traps baited with the things we used to enjoy sinning with. Our old nature is drawn to the bait, but we must realize that it’s up to us, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to put that old nature to death daily. Paul wrote: 13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Romans 8:13-14 NIV Sometimes the devil uses 2 Peter 2 passage to condemn “backsliding” Christians and convince them there is no hope of recovery. When we approach God in repentance from our sin, having a sincere desire to walk in righteousness, we can have confidence that God will forgive us. Jesus bore ALL of God’s wrath due to us because of our sins. We can call to God for help no matter what situation we are in. If we don’t call to God for help, we can’t expect our situation to improve. We’ll simply continue to feed on our vomit and wallow in the mire of sin. We are not dogs, but rather, children of the Most High God. God has given us power to choose life through Jesus instead of death through sin. If we’ve been backsliding, we may be worse off than when we started, but Jesus can still set us free. “If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36 NKJV). With God, all things are possible.PRIVELEGES COME WITH RESPONSIBILITY AND WITHOUT RESPONSIBILITY THERE ARE NO PRIVELEGES...GOD IS A GOD OF FREE WILL..HE ALLOWS US TO CHOOSE TO FOLLOW HIM..I FULLY BELIEVE THAT LIFE WITHOUT GOD IS A PATH TO SELF DESTRUCTION..GOD IS FULL OF MERCY AND GRACE, HE FORGIVES US, HE RESTORES US, HE LIFTS US UP TO PLACES WE NEVER KNEW WE COULD BE..HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US, IF WE FIND OURSELVES HAVING LOST SITE OF OUR DIRECTION, WE ARE THE ONES THAT HAVE MOVED..I MAKE MISTAKES EVERY DAY AND HAVE TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS OVER AND OVER..BUT GOD WILL RESTORE ME...WITHOUT A DOUBT I HAVE THE CONFIDENT ASSURANCE THAT EVEN AT TIMES I WALK IN STRUGGLE, I NEVER WALK ALONE...GOD IS FAITHFUL!Most anything interests me...I love to read my Bible and any good book that is based upon scripture. I like to take drives to "nowhere"...the beach is my favorite place, the mountains amaze me, I like rain on a spring day and sun in the heat of the summer, snow at Christmas (which only happens somewhere else) and the splendid colors of autumn mesmorize me..I enjoy my kids, love to plant or just dig in the dirt, I'm a nature person, if it is outside..I am there!

I'd like to meet:

I love people, I'd like to meet anyone that I haven't met before...HOWEVER, IT IS OUR CHOICE WITH WHO WE SPEND OUR TIME WITH..NOT MY PLACE TO JUDGE BY ANY MEANS BUT WE ARE TOLD IN EPHESIANS 4:27 TO "NEVER GIVE OPPORTUNITY TO THE DEVIL" (ESV)..THE PERSON BESIDE YOU BRINGS YOU ONE STEP CLOSER TO GOD OR ONE STEP FARTHER AWAY...I WANT TO BE CLOSER! AND SCRIPTURE WARNS US NOT TO BE THE PERSON THAT BRINGS SOMEONE FARTHER AWAY:

LUKE 17:1 TEMPTATIONS TO SIN ARE SURE TO COME
BUT WOE TO THOSE WHO TEMPTATIONS COME THROUGH

Question: .."Who am I in Christ?.." --------Answer: According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” In Christ, we are made an entirely new creation, just as God created the heavens and the earth originally – He made them out of nothing, and so He does to us. He does not merely clean up our old selves; He makes an entirely new self and this new self is actually part of Christ Himself. When we are in Christ, we are “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:14). God Himself, in the person of His Holy Spirit, takes up residence in our hearts. We are in Christ and He is in us.When we are in Christ and He in us, we are regenerated, renewed, and born again, and this new creation is spiritually minded, whereas the old nature is carnally minded. The new nature is in fellowship with God, obedient to His will and devoted to His service. These are things the old nature is incapable of doing or even desiring to do. The old nature is dead to the things of the spirit and cannot revive itself. It is “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1), and can only be made alive by a supernatural quickening which happens when we come to Christ and are indwelt by Him. He gives us a completely new and holy nature and an incorruptible life. Our old life, previously dead to God because of sin, is buried, and we are raised “to walk in newness of life” with Him (Romans 6:4).In Christ, we are united to Him and no longer slaves to sin (Romans 6:5-6); made alive with Christ (Ephesians 2:5); conformed to His image (Romans 8:29); free from condemnation and walking not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit (Romans 8:1), and part of the body of Christ with other believers (Romans 12:5). The believer now possesses a new heart (Ezekiel 11:19), and has been blessed “with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 1:3).We might wonder why we so often don’t live in the manner described, even though we have given our lives to Christ and are sure of our salvation. This is because our new natures are residing in our old fleshly bodies and these two are at war with one another. The old nature is dead, but the new nature still has to battle the old “tent” in which it dwells. Evil and sin are still present, but the believer now sees them in a new perspective and they no longer control him. In Christ, we can now choose to resist sin, whereas the old nature could not. Now we have the choice whether to feed the new nature through the Word, prayer and obedience, or to feed the flesh by neglecting those things and engaging in sin. When we are in Christ, “we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us” (Romans 8:37) and can rejoice in our Savior, who makes all things possible! In Christ we are loved, forgiven, and promised salvation. In Christ we are adopted, justified, redeemed, reconciled, and chosen. In Christ we are victorious, filled with joy and peace, granted true meaning in life. What a wonderful Savior is Christ!

ROMANS 10:9-10 ..... (9)If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (10) For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

SOMETIMES THE HARDEST THING TO DO IS TO LET GO...WE ARE INCLINED TO HOLD TIGHT TO THOSE WHO ARE CLOSEST TO US, BUT OFTEN TIMES, IT IS THROUGH OUR LETTING GO THAT THEY TRULY FEEL THE HAND OF GOD...WHEN SOMEONE IS FREE FALLING WE CAN NOT CATCH THEM AND THEY CAN NOT FEEL THE PAIN UNTIL THEY HIT BOTTOM..IF THEY WILL REACH OUT FOR GOD HE WILL CATCH THEM...AT THIS MOMENT, I AM BEGGING GOD TO CATCH YOU...PSALMS FOR SOLDIERS: PSALMS 91: 1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.9 If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the Lord, who is my refuge-- 10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."2 PETER 2:20**** ...."If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning....."****** DO NOT BE OVERCOME BY SIN, EVERYONE IS TEMPTED. PUT GOD FIRST AND CONSIDER IF HE IS A PART OF THE THINGS THAT ENTICE YOU. IF GOD IS NOT A PART OF IT, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT BE. SATAN SNEAKS INTO OUR LIVES IN MANY AVENUES. IF YOU PUT GOD FIRST, SATAN DOESN..'T STAND A CHANCE! GOD GIVES US MANY INSTRUCTIONS IN THE HOLY BIBLE THAT WE ARE TO FOLLOW AS GUIDANCE IN OUR LIVES. IF YOU FIND YOURSELF CORRUPTED BY THIS WORLD, GET INTO YOUR BIBLE AND LET THE LORD SPEAK TO YOU. YOU CAN BEAT THE THINGS YOU STRUGGLE WITH IF YOU RELY ON GOD...INSTRUCTIONS FOR GODLY LIVING: EPHESIANS 4....1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called-- 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it says: .."When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men..." 9 (What does .."he ascended.." mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God..'s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more. 20 You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21 Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 .."In your anger do not sin..": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need. 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Books:

THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE SOMETHING WRONG AND DO NOT SAY ANYTHING, CONSIDER IF IN YOUR SILENCE YOU ARE ACTUALLY SAYING IT IS ALRIGHT- 1 Thessalonians 2:12-"We exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God,who calls you into his own kingdom and glory." YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED TO WALK IN A MANNER WORTHY OF GOD AS HE HAS CALLED YOU TO DO SO...

ALL SCRIPTURES ARE GOD INSPIRED AND GIVEN FOR US TO LIVE BY (2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17 SAYS:.." All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.") I WANT TO SHARE SOME THAT I HAVE COMMITTED TO MEMORY THAT I TRY TO ALWAYS HOLD ON TO WHEN I QUESTION WHAT MY ROLE IS AS A CHRISTIAN FRIEND TO OTHERS. IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO KNOW WHAT GOD WOULD HAVE US TO DO. I SEEK HIS GUIDANCE AND I STRUGGLE TO UNDERSTAND HIS WILL IN MY LIFE. I PRAY THAT I NEVER LET HIM DOWN, ALTHOUGH I KNOW THAT I DO AGAIN AND AGAIN. I NEED CHRIST SO MUCH IN MY LIFE. EVERYONE DOES. MY GREATEST HOPE IS THAT OTHERS WILL COME TO RECOGNIZE THE LOVE THAT GOD HAS FOR THEM AS HIS CHILD. AS A PARENT LOVES A CHILD (WHICH IS LOVE I CAN'T BEGIN TO EXPRESS) GOD LOVES HIS CHILDREN EVEN GREATER AND HE IS ABLE TO EXPRESS IT TO ME EVERYDAY IN HIS BLESSINGS AND PRESENCE THAT I FEEL. A SPRITIUAL WHOLENESS IN OUR HEART AND SOUL IS SOMETHING GREATER THAN ALL THE RICHES AND WORLDLY DESIRES OF OUR MIND. WHEN I TELL YOU THAT I LOVE YOU...THOSE AREN'T EMPTY WORDS, I POUR THEM OUT TO YOU WITH EVERYTHING IN ME AND HOPE YOU KNOW JUST HOW MUCH YOU ARE LOVED. TO LOVE AND BE LOVED IS ONE OF GOD'S GREATEST BLESSINGS. I HAVE BEEN BLESSED! HERE ARE THE SCRIPTURES:.... 2 TIMOTHY 4:2 .."Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction."(FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME....IF I PREACH TO YOU...IT IS BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND I AM CALLED TO DO SO ACCORDING TO GOD'S WORD)GALATIANS 6:1 SAYS "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted." (THIS SCRIPTURE COMMANDS US TO HELP OUR BROTHER IF THEY STRUGGLE WITH SIN, IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE DON'T SIN, ROMANS 3:23 SAYS:.."for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT ONE IS BETTER OR ABOVE THE OTHER, IT DOESN'T MEAN WE ARE TO BE JUDGMENTAL, IT MEANS WE, AS CHRISTIAN FRIENDS ARE TO HELP ONE ANOTHER AT A SPIRITUAL LEVEL BUT MAKE SURE WE AREN'T FALLING INTO THE SAME EVILS)....2 CORINTHIANS 6:3 SAYS "We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited." (WE CAN NOT SET STANDARDS FOR OTHERS AND NOT UPHOLD THE SAME STANDARDS FOR OURSELVES..WE CAN NOT SAY ONE THING AND LIVE ANOTHER..THE EXAMPLE WE SET IS TO BE ONE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND WITH PURITY OF HEART AS A REPRESENTATION OF OUR DEVOTION TO GOD)LUKE 11:35-36 SAYS "See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness, Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you." (WE CAN NOT WALK IN THE DARKNESS AND LIVE IN THE LIGHT.)..LUKE 17:1 SAYS "Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come." (WE LIVE IN A SINFUL NATION, AND SIN ABOUNDS, BUT WOE TO THE INDIVIDUAL WHO SIN COMES THROUGH.)AND 1 JOHN 1:9 TELLS US WHAT TO DO WHEN WE HAVE SINNED. IT SAYS: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." SO..IN A NUTSHELL, WHAT HELPS ME IS ALWAYS BE PREPARED TO PREACH THE GOSPEL, HELP YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST WHEN THEY STURGGLE WITH SIN, AND TURN TO THEM FOR SUPPORT WHEN YOU STRUGGLE WITH SIN,RECOGNIZE THAT WE BATTLE SIN, NEVER BE A STUMBLING BLOCK FOR ANOTHER, LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE, ALWAYS GUARD WHAT COMES THROUGH YOUR DOOR AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS WITH SINCERE REPENTANCE WHEN WE MESS UP... JOSHUA 24:15 "As For Me And My House We Will Serve the Lord"...Knowing or Knowing About............................ You know the Scriptures, do you know your Savior? .......by Greg Albrecht ............"Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." -- John 17:3After a beautiful dinner party, the hosts and their guests were enjoying pleasant conversation. The host asked one of the guests, an actor, to do a recitation. The actor, with a twinkle in his eye, said: .."I will do so, if the minister who has also shared this delicious meal will agree to do the same. I propose that we both read from Psalm 23..."The minister agreed and listened while the actor dramatically recited the lines with perfect diction and clarity. The guests gave him thunderous applause. Then the minister rose to give his reading. He did not have the same training or experience as the actor, and many of the guests began to feel embarrassed for him. Clearly he was no match for the actor. But as the minister recited the psalm with passion, the audience sat spellbound. As he concluded, they were electrified. There was dead silence until one by one they all rose to their feet, paying tribute to the minister..'s heartfelt words. The actor later explained the difference between the two readings. .."I know the psalm, but the minister knows the Shepherd..."All Christians live with the tension between knowing the script and knowing the Author. Following the words of Scripture and personally experiencing their Lord and Savior. Having cognitive knowledge and having a heart for Jesus. Both dimensions are important.It..'s a tension the religious leaders of Jesus..' day did not even come close to balancing. In fact, they were so focused on the script they failed to recognize that the central message of the Scriptures was the person of Jesus, who stood before them. They knew the Scriptures, but they did not know the Savior..."You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.." (John 5:39-40).While it is important to know about Jesus, it is more important to know him. You can know him without knowing details about him. Details and knowledge do not save and rescue us. Details and knowledge do not redeem, justify or impart new life. Eternal life comes through a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior.Jesus did not bring us another religion that promises that God can be discovered if humans learn facts about him and do good deeds. Jesus came, as God in the flesh, to find us. Christians believe that the earth is a visited planet, visited by God, who added flesh to his divinity for our salvation. He did not reveal himself because of what we do. He did it in spite of what we do.Jesus did not bring a religion, he brought a relationship. Eternal life is not knowing .."stuff.." about God, it is coming to accept and believe, knowing him and trusting him as Lord of your life. The experience of knowing God personally is not simply emotional gratification. It does not necessarily make us feel good. Feeling is not knowing. Knowing God means understanding his will for our lives, obeying him in all we do.What about you? Do you know the script? Do you know how to behave and what rituals to follow? That..'s not enough. We must all be introduced to the Lord of our lives, who died on the cross that we might be forgiven, and who rose from the dead that we might be given eternal life.If you have not been introduced to your Savior, go to God in prayer and ask Jesus to come into your life. You can meet Jesus at the cross, and you can be encouraged by his empty tomb.He lives, and so can you.
