Hey Hey, a lot of great news for everyone ! our first official album “reborn†is now recorded, our producer Rob Vanspauwen has done a fantastic job for us…new influences, new sound and style experimentation, that album will contain 8 original tracks from the band and 2 covers from old forties stuff…revisited of course by the BWJumpers…as you will see later, we cut a little bit our name and we’ll become “BWJumpersâ€. On that album, we are also very proud to play two tracks with a very great Hammond Organ player : JJ Louis of Rusty Roots band…what an incredible experience for us to have JJ’s groove on these two songs…actually we’re working on the cd booklet and studio pictures with Aricia’s friend Kris Rogiers from www.excellent-vormgeving.be. We’re sure you will appreciate that hard and long work we’ve made for you all…official informations about album presentation and more news to come soon…see you at our summer concerts…for that, check out the gigs page
!!! Thank you so much Rob, JJ and Kris !!!
The trio was founded in July 2006 by pianist-singer Aricia Evlard, who had been playing with the idea for quite a while. She had been working on songs for two years together with her long time friend, Vincent Moreau on drums. In July 2006, Sandro Cancelli joined the project on double bass. The Boogie Woogie Jumpers were born. The band's main source of inspiration are blues and roots music from the early forties till the sixties.
However, in stead of copying songs note for note, they always try to add their personal touch, respecting, of course, the lyrics, the spirit and the dynamics of the original song. The band's own songs are all signed Aricia Evlard, in the purest Boogie Woogie style. Sometimes with vocals, sometines instrumental, always full of energy... The Boogie Woogie Jumpers take you on a trip back to the roots, which is, each time a captivating experience.
