I am a dutch pianoplayer, influenced by many many musicstyles. I also compose and produce music. started playing very young, my father brought jazzmusic into my life, my mother played classical music, my brother loved afro-american music, like james brown, stevie wonder aretha franklin etc. my sister more into pop. I learned to play by listening, not through lessons. I started to realise very late that I wanted to be a professional musician, when I was more than 20 years old. since then I played with Toon Roos, Martijn van Iterson, Peter Tiehuis, Ferdinand Povel, Theo de Jong, Jesse van Ruller, Simone Pormes, Toots Thielemans, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Roberta Gambarini, Wynton Marsalis, Lo van Gorp, Hein van de Geijn, Martijn Vink, Gino Vannelli, Joris Roelofs, Ben Herman, Philip Catherine, Hans van Oosterhout, Frans van der hoeven,Tom Beek, Fay Claassen, and many more. With most of these people I recorded.
