About Me

Hi. I'm Ruth. I'm pretty square. I enjoy honesty. I have the intuitive ability to understand the innate delicacy of most given situations alongside the unspoken and unexplained. I love life. I have absolutely nothing to complain about and everything to be grateful for. Integrity is the most important thing to me. My relationships with my family and friends are invaluable. What is better than human connection? Love? I am fascinated by music, art, film, science, and the human experience. I surround myself with beauty. I love to laugh. I strive to constantly grow. I don't love drama.

My Interests

"Anyone who doesn't take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either." - Albert Einstein "Love is like the truth, sometimes it prevails, and sometimes it hurts." - Victor M. Garcia Jr. "Truth being that which can awaken souls to each others full nature and to their own origins and endings. Truth is love free from ownership, free from desire and free to give over completely to the positive service of an others eternal state. Truth cannot bind nor be bound, molded, forced, tempered, coerced, devised or bought and still be expected to serve others as they must be served. To lie in the service of truth is to abandon it completely." - Christopher Zubryd, "Truth, like gold, is to be obtained not by its growth, but by washing away from it all that is not gold." – Leo Tolstoy, " Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it. " -Andre Gide, "Myths and creeds are heroic struggles to comprehend the truth in the world." -Ansel Adams, "We all know that art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth." -Pablo Picasso "The truth that makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear." - Herbert Agar "Irrationally held truths may be more harmful than reasoned errors." - Thomas H. Huxley "Truth will ultimately prevail where there is pains to bring it to light." - George Washington "Never apologize for showing feeling. When you do so, you apologize for truth." – Benjamin Disraeli "We have art in order not to die of the truth." - Friedrich Nietzsche

I'd like to meet:

Thinkers, doers, dreamers, music makers, lovers, artists, anyone who is passionate about life. I would like to meet my ancestors, and find out what fragment of them I ended up with. Then there are the famous people. We all want to meet famous people. Ah, the illusion of the celebrity. Some old friends: Andrew Cunningham; Jared Randall; Eli Torgueson.

Music:

Double yes with a side of yes. "Without music, life would be a mistake." -Friedrich Nietzsche; "Music is the shorthand of emotion." -Leo Tolstoy, "Music is the art which is most nigh to tears and memory." -Oscar Wilde

Movies:

Yes, please. "A film is a petrified fountain of thought." - Jean Cocteau Hedwig And The Angry Inch

Television:

Damn the time-sucker... whenever it's on it's holding my brain stem hostage. Lately, The Tudors... John Adams.

Books:

I wish I was more of a reader... I really do."The appeal of literature is that it is so thoroughly a human thing-by, for and about human beings. If you lose that focus, you obviate the source of the power and permanence of literature." -M. H. Abrams "Everyone who knows how to read has it in their power to magnify themselves, multiply the ways in which they exist, to make their life full, significant, and interesting." -Aldous Huxley, Chuck Palaniuck, Kurt Vonnegut, Sandra Cisneros, Shakespeare

Heroes:

Those who came before. Those who strive to be not to appear. Those who walk the walk.
