Well, let's just keep it simple for now, but I'm into drawing/painting, writing, philosophy, martial arts, most forms of animation (Japanese, American, Clay, etc.), the film industry and comics. Currently, I'm focusing on writing and drawing since I plan on entering the film/comic industry. I'm curious about other interests though, and wouldn't mind being shown something new.
Women / People in the film and/or comic book industry (indie or pro, doesn't matter) / Old friends and classmates from Vanguard/CFCC/etc. / Anyone in the Florida Anime communityNot that's not a concrete list, but I mainly signed up for the first two reasons. So if you fit into any of those criteria and want to chat, IM/email me.Also, I'm new to the area and looking for various places of interest to hang out, meet new people and experience new things. So if you'd be willing to help me out with that, I'd appreciate it.
I enjoy a lot of different genres, but I'm a huge fan of jazz, soul, Motown, funk and early 90's techno and rap ("happy rap"). I like the live Indie rock scene though, and will occaisionally make the trip to Gainesville for it. Favorite groups/artists include Jamiroquai, mc chris, CAKE, Kool & the Gang, MJ and 2 Unlimited.
Martial arts films are at the top of my list (literally in the case of Drunken Master), but I love watching movies for the sake of it. I'll watch almost anything, but tend to stray towards animation, kung fu, westerns, action and comedies. If you like talking about movies/directors, give me a ring. I love film discussions.
I seem to spend a lot of time between Cartoon Network/Adult Swim and CNN, but love a lot of shows on many channels. Comedy Central and HBO Comedy are also high on my list, but only for the stand up comedy and certain series (South Park, Daily Show, Mind of Mencia, etc.). Much love for the Britcoms (Monty Python, Keeping up Appearances, etc.) on BBC America as well. I also watch some dramas (all CSI's, House and Numbers) and a lot of various History/Discovery Channel documentaries (love Wild West Tech and Connections in particular). Thank God for DVR's though...
Outside of the comic variety, I have a few authors whose works I read: Stephen King, Christopher Moore, Jerry Spinelli, Donald J. Sobol and Scott Adams. However, I love reading books on philosophy, especially when it combines elements from pop culture (ie: The Matrix/Superheroes/Seinfeld/The Simpsons & philosophy/religion).
My father and mother, Bill Cosby, Stan Lee, Jackie Chan and Peter Parker/Spider-Man (nothing says fictional characters can't be personal heroes in my book).
