Believe only the mainstream Western press and you'd believe that the country's streets are overflowing with danger: that tourists are stopped in their tracks; that cigar-chomping mobsters run the club scene; that all is loud and flash in the 'New Russia'.
But there is another story - a story about a small growing network of young Russian club promoters, DJs, bands and producers spearheading a new creative renaissance.
