Welcome to our myspace. Tattoo Betty's is owned and operated by me (Betty) and my husband, Ken. We have four children: Jordan, Matthew, Elizabeth and Andrew. We've also been graced by our two dogs, Smokey and Charlie.
Our shop is located in Factoryville, PA.(technically LaPlume), in the Dalton Carpet Plaza. We have a wonderful piercer, Jess -- who's been with us since she was 18 and getting her first tattoo. We started out very small and humble with meager beginnings, but as the word of mouth got around, my clientelle grew and we were able to open up our very accomplished shop. (Since Jess kept getting tattooed, we thought "Hey, you may as well work here and apprentice for piercing.") -- The rest is pretty recent history. The shop has been opened for about a year and a half, and still going strong. We also like to keep the business in the family, and soon we'll be letting loose our apprentice, Jordan.
I've seen the tattoo "industry" go through many changes for the positive. But there are many more changes that should follow. The state of Pennsylvania especially should be updated with their lack of regulations in regards to tattoo shops. The lack of law for us is not a positive thing(though, some so called "artists" may think that we do not need to be regulated) -- the lack of laws merely permits undesirable shops to open without regard to the public's general health and well being. So, to all those checking out your next tattoo, check for those certificates, business licenses, autoclaves, clean tiled floors, and an overall safe and pleasant atmosphere....well, the occasional F-bomb will occur (we are, after all tattooing).
We, here at Tattoo Betty's, are very down-to-earth people. There's no pushing you into a decision you're not ready for. We are honest, hard working people who feel you probably work just as hard for your money and would like to feel you didn't just waste your money on a shitty piece done by some yahoo cutting the price to save you a measly 10 to 20 dollars. (Because It'll cost you twice as much to cover it up with something that was not your original choice.) Make a well informed decision when choosing your artist and tattoo -- it's with you until the day you die. Don't take this lightly -- this is serious business. One of the worst things that you can do is pick a person and tattoo solely based on the price and location of the shop.
All that being said, for what I give you, you definitely get a good value for some of the best work you'll ever see on skin.
AS OF SEPTEMBER 28TH OUR SHOP WILL BE OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK: MON,WED,THURS,FRI,SAT,SUN FROM 12:30 -- 10:00 PM TUESDAYS WILL BE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

We at Tattoo Betty's are very proud to support our local communities and the less fortunate. Being a family of six, we have been able to see ourselves through the toughest of times, and now we would like to help others do the same. We know what a little help can do and how much it means.
Tattoo Betty's currently supports Interfaith Friends. They help the less fortunate in the Wyoming County area. If you would like to make a donation feel free to contact Deborah Courville or Janet Dickson at Interfaith Friends 570-836-2428/fax 570-836-4364.
