About Me
At first glance, this college twosome, with their clean cut, manicured appearance, look more like choir boys and clothing models than viable rap artists. Then they opened their mouths, and with less than sixteen bars, all critics are silenced. What sets The Forgotten Onez, Brian Patrick and Derrick Johnson, apart from a legion of uniform rappers is that the two refuse to be pigeonhold in any category. "I like to think of us not as rappers or emcees, but just hip hop. We do what we feel, not what's trendy. People are so tired of hearing about crack and gats. That's not us. You'll never catch us doing something just to move a record. I'd rather move the people."-Brian Patrick (The Forgotten Onez/Republic World Media Group, LLC). That being said, the group's major appeal lies in their ability to approach music like chameleons, constantly changing and shifting not only between rap sub genres, but taking their listeners on journeys that defy the boundaries of the medium. Rnb, Rock, and the spoken word are all tools of The Forgotten Onez trade. "I love their music because its fun to listen to. I don't really like rap that much but when you have guys who can make you dance and laugh and think all in the same album, you cant deny it. It's down to earth just like them." -Alan Woods (Fan). The two twenty year old best friends have been making music together since the age of fifteen and since then have spawned numerous underground classics as well as party anthems that could play in many of the clubs they ironically aren't even old enough to perform in. With the creation of Republic World Media Group, LLC (a film and media corporation that is the fulfillment of Brian Patrick's childhood vision) and a focus that not even Adoral patients possess, the tag team is poised to carve their niche in the entertainment industry. With the emergence of their catchy tunes and lively lyrics, the two will certainly never be easily "Forgotten"."The only thing I see when I wake up in the morning is a chance to go to bed at night that much closer to where I want to be in life. I eat, sleep, breathe, and dream my aspirations. I bleed this. The only thing that can stop me is God. And I think he's on my side this round"-Brian Patrick (The Forgotten Onez/Republic World Media Group, LLC)
