reading. music. the pathetic shows on mtv which i just can't seem to pull my eyes off of. natalie. being happy. feeling full. dieting. not dieting. winning a year's supply of kotex for free. my family.
definitely not everybody, i don't have that kind of time. dave grohl, although that conversation would be mostly made up of slurs and lots of drool...and maybe kevin eubanks and the tonight show band.
Talking about music is sort of like talking about politics or religion. You shouldn't. Because then you may miss out on the best friend you never asked for. (Although my cd collection is filled with names like Elton John, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Sugarcult, Something Corporate, Monster Ballads, ABBA, Matchbox Twenty, Blink 182, Travisty Theory, Motion City Soundtrack, Blue Skins, Pink Floyd, Velvet Revolver, Eve, Salt n Peppa, Riddlin Kids, Mad Caddies, Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, Greatest Hits of Andrew Lloyd Webber, RENT, Garth Brooks Greatest Hits, Lori Morgan Greatest Hits, The One and Only Love Album, and um...I can't think of anymore off the top of my head, now go on and judge me.)
Alice in Wonderland and Alice and the Looking Glass (although I don't own either) Grease 2, Sweet Sweetbacks Badass Song, Jezebel, Chicago, almost anything National Lampoon, Footloose, BLOOD AND SAND, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, The Sandlot, anything Rodgers and Hammerstein (except Carousel), That Thing You Do, Road Trip, Old School, Billy Madison, Tommy Boy, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Detroit Rock City, Newsies, Easy Rider, A Clockwork Orange, almost anything with Charlie Chaplin, Shawshank Redemption, Aladdin, A League of Their Own, Fool's Rush In, American History X, Ladybugs, Sidekicks, The Wizard, and that really old Hug-A-Bunch flick that I can't remember the name to.
Boy Meets World, Full House (I dare you to stump me on a question!), The Today Show, Roseanne, Cosby Show, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? All of those pointless VH1 shows that I watch while recovering from a hangover on Saturdays and Sundays (100 hottest bods, 100 worst hair styles, 100 worst bad songs, etc., etc., etc.)
"I fall into books the way I fall into lust--wholly, hungrily. Often the book disappoints, or I disappoint. The first flush cools and the words grow tired and dull, or I grow tired and dull and slam the book shut. Occasionally, though, I keep reading, and lust ripens slowly into love, and I want to stay right there, at the lamplit table or in the soft, worn chair, until the last page is turned."
Slim Goodbody (for obvious reasons).
