"I was send to earth to give world the music back..." he told his mother at the age of five, "... or I'm supposed to sell roast chicken."
Thank God, only seven years later he formed the teenie - group "D.O.D" and made his first musical steps with them. "I wrote my first Songs that time. All I still can remember of them is that they all have had the touch of plasticpop and the lyrics where more then just corny, but we performed them on schoolevents and the audience gave us a very positive feedback all the time."
Same time he tooks place as the frontman of the choreography- and dancinggroup "WHITE NIGHT DANCE" where he created differend moves for them. "My creativity was unstopable those days and I realised quickly that I would never have to sell roasted chicken."
So even if he did an apprenticeship as nurseryteacher, he never lost the dream to entertain an audience. "Whenever I got the chance to improve my talent, I did it and I feld very proud when unknown people told me that they like my voice".
After Ben fnished his education at the age of 18 he absolved an actorschool under direction of Brigitte Hertwig and moved to the capital of Germany in 2003 - Berlin!
"It was very clear to me that I would never reach success if I would stay in my hometown. So I went to Berlin to create a very strong popproject which could go somewhere."
First Ben started to write Songs for different Bandprojects. For example "BLUE CIRCLE" and "POETIC JUSTICE" but then he was hungering for more. "I started a singingeducation and formed my first serious band "LIGHT'NING SPARK"." This Bandproject did their way and created the Soundtrack for a new stageversion of "A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE" directed by Henry Arnold, where "LIGHT'NING SPARK" performed their songs live.
Well... every good time has to come to an end: "The band split up in June 2006 and I didn't want to find a new instrumentation for it... They would have sounded like a cheap copy of the original cast. So I decided to take a break".
August 2007: After more then a year of experimentation Ben takes the step back in the world of music.
"I feel that it's the right time to do a soloproject. There are so many songs I wrote in the past which have never reached an ear and I'm ready to give them to the world. A strong team is standing behind me and we are all very curious which way this project will go."
Rosted chicken seems to be a thing of the past! He's here to give world the music back: BIG BEN!
