About Me

I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I’ve seen the Exorcist about 167 times, and it keeps getting funnier every single time I see it. I generally come to work at least 15 minutes late. I use the side door - that way my boss can’t see me. After that I sorta space out for an hour. I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I’m working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I’d say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual work. When I buy a new book, I read the last page first. That way, in case I die before I finish, I know how it ends. I want a guy who can play 36 holes of golf, and still have enough energy to take me to a baseball game, and eat sausages, and beer, not lite beer, but beer. That's my ad, print it up.
Some Spinoza for you:
"The universal law of human nature is that no one fails to pursue anything which he judges to be good, unless he hopes for a greater good, or fears a greater harm, nor does he submit to any evil, except to avoid a greater one, or because he hopes for a greater good."
"No one will promise to give up the right he has to all things except with intent to deceive, and absolutely, that no one will stand by his promises unless he fears a greater evil or hopes for a greater good."
"Men believe themselves to be free because they are conscious of their own actions and are ignorant of the causes by which they are determined."
"The endeavor to understand is the first and only foundation of virtue, and it is not for some further purpose that we endeavor to understand things."
"It is of the first importance in life to perfect the intellect, or reason, as far as one can, and the highest happiness of mankind consists in this alone."
