About Me

I'm new here, just learning the ropes, so go easy on me!

My Interests

Cheerleading, dancing, reading and camping. I love trying to play sports and making a complete fool of myself (I'm terrible)! I like watching sports too, and I'm always looking for someone to teach me more about them. Beyond that, the usual hanging out with friends, movies, dinners, etc. I'm always trying something new and taking up some random new hobby.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is up for some witty banter.

Music:

Wow, though question to answer. I really like everything. Anything that makes me want to dance is good with me, and you'd be surprised what makes me want to dance. I once used Du Hast by Ramstein in a cheerleading routine! I love rock, some punk, hip hop, R&B, some pop, classical, jazz, you name it. The Ramones are probably my fav if I had to pick just one. I also like: GnR, Alicia Keyes, Orff, Metallica (early years), The Beatles, Nirvana, Queen, John Legend, Tchaikovsky, NIN, Iron Maiden, and the list goes on.

Movies:

Anything by Kevin Smith-LOVE Kevin Smith. My whole family is hooked! Hard to say my favourite of all of his movies, maybe Mallrats, or Chasing Amy. I also loved Usual Suspects-especially when I'm watching it with someone who's never seen it, Fight Club, Wayne's World, Moulin Rouge, the South Park Movie, Braveheart, Napoleon Dynamite, Gross Pointe Blank, Before Sunset, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Zoolander, Princess Bride, Dodgeball, Wedding Crashers, Austin Powers, and the list goes on. Of course, I also have my guilty pleasures: Dirty Dancing, Bring it On, Clueless, Centre Stage, etc.

Television:

Family Guy, Simpsons, CSI, Jon Stewart, and The OC.

Books:

Favourite book, if I had to pick just one would probably be Good Omens by Neil Gaimen and Terry Pratchett. I love anything by Terry Pratchett-he cracks me up. I'm finally starting to read the Harry Potter series (to avoid being disowned by my mother!) and so far, they are pretty good. A Brief History of Time was great, and only 50% went over my head! The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was cute, and given that I work with children with Autism, highly enjoyable.
