Influences: Right now I'm lovin Maroon 5 and Rufus Wainwright as far as writing goes. Songwriting influences are eclectic...I love Heart, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Tom Petty, Bad Company, The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, everything Motown. Vocally my influences are Ann Wilson, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Paul Rodgers, Annie Lennox, Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell, Cleo Lane, Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Edith Piaf, Pat Benatar, Patsy Cline, Manhattan Transfer, only to name a few. Currently perfoming locally as "ELAINE AND DAVE", acoustic duo. Covers of cool songs and some of my originals. I sit in with the PSYCHIC BLOOD BROTHERS every 2nd friday at the Blackwatch Pub in Upland. Dwayne McDaniels tells me I'm a rockstar. I am also part of a trio called THE HARMONY SISTERS WITH BILL BLANCHARDS LITTLE BIG BAND. We play at the Hip Kitty in Claremont. Great old songs to dance to. People come in 40's attire. I do session work when called upon. Recorded lead vocal tracks for a karaoke company marketing in Asia called Neo Geo Productions. Sang a jingle for Diamonds By Klure and Fred Meyer that aired on local radio. (Both were recorded when I was nine months pregnant with my son Simon and that was 17 years ago!) I have also done session work with Bob Summers - dozens of harmony, backing and lead vocals for other songwriters. He also helped produce and engineer my first CD and I am currently recording my second album with him. THE ANDY RAU BAND (Progressive Bluegrass) asked me to record a harmony part on a duet called "The Best I've Found" for their latest album called Higher Ground. It got a nice review in Folk Works Magazine in 2007 and got air time on a San Diego radio station. Check out Andy's website. I perform with them on occasion. I toured China for a month in 1993 with ACTV (American Chinese Television) on the Elegant Tour. It was a combination of runway models and singers. Different!! I've appeared on Charlie Daniels Talent Roundup in Nashville (stage right behind the Grand Ole Opry stage) promoting an original song by Joe Summers and produced by Bob Summers. Too bad for me, had I wanted to find a GOOD OLE BOY to marry, I'd be a big star now!!!! I was invited to move there and be a demo singer - by Danny Mayo who wrote Keeper Of The Stars. I just had to have more variety on my plate.........My Published reviews include Michael Laskow from TAXI in Los Angeles in Home Recording Magazine in 1996 saying "she's the real deal." It was a demo review of Jaded Fey .... a duo I was part of with Christian Hudson with whom I collaborated with. I have an AA from Pasadena City College and then attended the Grove School Of Music in Studio City. I studied voice privately with Jack Halloran (check him out in Wikepedia) in Sherman Oaks. I studied piano with Arlete McCoy in Eagle Rock (and many others) and percussion with Jerry Steinholtz. (diana ross) ....................................... I teach voice and piano at Alta Loma Music (909) 989-5757 and Ontario Music (909) 983-3551. ............................................................ ............................................................ ........................... To book me directly call (909) 986-7832.......................................... MY DREAM: my songs placed in film and TV and I'd love to tour doing backup vocals for a major artist ...that would be AND thank you Tom "That's me inside your head" for helping me with this myspace page layout. OK im done.Thank you Doug Colinbrander for the art work showing on my song Sanctuary.
