Heavy music that does not disregard those elements that make music "Musical".The Broken Oath has establish itself as a POSITIVE and relavent heavy force in the local rock scene, as it strives to create a heavy, yet beautiful sound, that could transcend the dreary genre labels bands often get stamped with.Now rejuvenated with the line-up of front man/guitarist Charles L. Green, founding bass player Dave Haag of WitcHazel fame, the addition of former 20/20 Hindsight percussionist and friend Johnny Mattis, and guitar virtuoso Borg Jude, The Broken Oaths hybrid sound will now evolve to a whole new level that will be heard well beyond the bounderies of Iowa. The Broken Oath, named after a 1977 Kung Fu movie, from a town where the "music man" made history, simply makes music that fuckin rocks.The Broken Oath has played venues such as: First Ave, in Minneapolis, The Reverb in Cedar Falls, Ia, and 3rd Street Live in Cedar Rapids Ia, Shooters HideAway & House Of Bricks in Des Moines Ia, and the legendary SURF BALLROOM in Clear Lake, Ia & has shared the stage with bands such as Vice Grip Throttle, Eddie Buzzard, Thunder Scum, SINIKIL, Ritual Fixx, ScumPump, Rojo Diablo, Last Ones Left, Consider Denial, Xerus, Corn Fed Bruiser, Project Sock Monkey, Frienemy, Albino Spiders, As I Decay, ONLY, and SPEEDFINGER, Caustic Vision, Dead Horse Trauma, Freak Label, Filth Grinder, Definition Of Cruelty, Vengince, Amerimage, Abandoned Chaos, Blue Felix, The Cassandra Disease and many many other acts from both Iowa and beyond.Winter 2008 I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
