About Me
Blueprint To a Downfall are a Metal band hailing from Manchester England. After Gigging Constantly for the past Year and a half, the band have built a sterling reputation amongst UK Metal Fans and even those overseas, with the band being demanded in Europe, Austrailia and America.
After Forming in 2005 they went through a number of line up changes before they became settled, releasing their debut EP through Distort Manchester Records in April 2006 (which has now completely sold out) . After playing smaller shows throughout 2006 the band began to find their sound as they wrote their follow up EP, Which surfaced in October 2006. Off the back of these two releases, the band managed to score prestigious slots such as an Enter Shikari tour support (who later personally requested the band appear with them on their next tour) as well as Shows with the likes of Dead To Fall, The Red Chord, Johnny Truant and Gorilla Biscuits.
After touring for over a month with Bristol’s Ella in April 2007, a tour which covered every vast corner of the UK, the band parted ways with original guitarist Wez and brought Jay into the band, along with a new sound and new ideas. After 3 more gruelling months of touring during the summer, the band signed to Rising Records (Mendeed) and began work on their debut album, only however, to split from the label a few months later after disagreeing with the labels ethics.
In 2008 the band will record their debut album with Nick Scholey (My Minds Weapon, Flood of Red) with Dan Weller and Justin Hill of Sikth fame handling Mixing Duties, in March and April, with a view to a summer Release.
The Rest of 2008 will involve a huge amount of touring, something that the band are very familar with!
BTAD have played with the likes of Enter Shikari, The Ghost Of a Thousand, My Minds Weapon & Ella on tour, and with Johnny Truant, Gorilla Biscuits, Dry Kill Logic, Becoming The Archetype, Flood Of Red, Profane, Mendeed, Devil Sold His Soul, Biomechanical, Test Switch Isolator, Blessed By a Broken Heart, Architects, The Chariot, The Blackout, Azriel, Eternal Lord, Textures, Twin Zero, Shaped By Fate, The Red Chord, Dead To Fall, Giving Chase, Viatrophy, Sylosis, Oceansize, Knights of The Abyss, From A Second Story Window, Ion Dissonance, Through The Eyes of The Dead and many more.

So myself, Si, Mark and Jay all got back from Aberdeen yesterday after laying down the tracks for the album with the amazing Nick Scholey! We had an awesome time up there, and we really cant wait for you guys to hear what we’ve come up with. The album will have 8 tracks, featuring Sell Yourself and The Fatigue of Fortune which you guys are familiar with, along with 6 brand new ones.Gaz and Danny are currently up there doing vocals, which should be nailed by the end of the week! Then mixing should take place at the end of the month, so hopefully we will have a track to put up by mid may, just in time for our summer tour!We also have a working title for the album which we will let you lot know soon enough! We really hope you’re as excited as we are!

We have nearly finished writing the album and we feel its the best we can write at this stage. Its a little different from the older BTAD you are used to hearing. We have a slower, more melodic approach to certain tracks and a complete contrast of faster, heavier songs to mix it up a little so to say were excited is an understatement.
We head into the studio at the end of this month to begin recording the album, then it shall get mixed/mastered beginning of May. New tracks will follow before we head on tour at the end of May.
Thats about it for now, thanks to everyone who takes the time to read this.

So the new Layout is done and up for you all to see. We also added some brand new promo photos which were done a few weeks back.
The best bit is that we put new tracks online which are just rough album demos so you can see where we are progressing with writing. The new tracks are "Sell Yourself" and "The Fatigue Of Fortune".
Check out the shows section for news on new tours especially the fact that we are heading over to Ireland for the first time to do some shows with our friends in Colour System Failure.
