With an unbelievable mix of Roots Reggae, R&B, Rock, and Blues in his sound, Rising Lion has developed a reputation for bringing good vibes to every show he plays, with his conscious lyrics and soul stirring music. In addition to being part of the Lion Productions / Ruff Stuff Records family, Rising Lion has finished the long awaited third full – length album. The album is entitled American Dread. With songs like, “American Dreadâ€, “Herbalistâ€, “Survivalâ€, and “My Lifeâ€, this album will be a testament to the experiences and growth of the artist over the past 3 years. As always, The Lion is committed to diversity in his music and the message of peace, love, hope, and equal rights for all mankind. Thus this album will serve up reggae in various musical styles, accompanied by the Lion’s fiery blues guitar, in the vein of the debut album New Day and sophomore release Don’t Lose Yourself (Ruff Stuff Records).Rising Lion has been touring the US and abroad for 14 years. The Lion has performed and proven to be a favorite at the following various festivals: The Annual Bob Marley Reggae Festival, The Legends of Rasta Reggae Tour, The New England Reggae Fest, Golden Gate Park Reggae Festival, and various concert series around the US. During these times, Rising Lion has had the pleasure of performing along side with the likes of Santana, Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers, The Wailers, Lauren Hill, Yellowman, Toots and The Maytals, The Wailing Souls, Burning Spear, The Mighty Diamonds, Inner Circle, and many more.
