While Black Hammock has only been performing together for little more than a year, they have been musical brothers virtually for ages… jamming and creating music at the infamous “Rouse House†(a 10-acre Orlando, Florida property wherein musicians and artists lived together in strange harmony). After gathering an eclectic group of musicians and recording the album “Swamp Reggaeâ€, Geoffrey Cravero called upon his holmes skillets Jason Misner and Freon Leon McIntire to bring the album to life. While rehearsing, the trio immediately wrote several new songs stylistically ranging from their reggae-based foundations to folk, rock, blues, and country. After several wildly-successful inaugural shows (including a double cd-release party with Rising Lion at Underground Bluz, shows at Back Booth, the Lodge, the Liquid Cellar, UCF Radcial Rush, 1982 Bar in Gainesville, FL, the 2008 Southeastern Renewable Energy Conference in Valdosta, GA, as well as a future appearance on MTV’s True Life), the group has already begun work on a follow-up album to be released in the near-future!
