I'd like to meet:
"Blessed are those who have no expectations, for they shall never be disappointed."
Music:
Just about anything that doesn't suck. Hard to be precise with that, but here's a point of clarification: any musician/group that is frequently referred to in the tabloids on a first name basis, i.e "Britney", or "Jessica" most likely sucks. Here are some alltime favorites by genre, Rap: Gangstar - Country: Toby Keith and J. Cash - Punk/HC: Sheer Terror, Life of Agony - OI! OI!: Bruisers, cocksparrer - New Stuff: I really like the White Stripes.
Television:
Don't have a TV, but if I did I would watch Stargate SG-1
Books:
The True Believer, Neuromancer, the work of Dostoevsky, "Kim", and other books and poems by Rudyard Kipling. (If you like Kipling, check out M.M. Kaye's novels as well.) George Orwell and Aldous Huxley are "must reads", of course. I've been going back over some of C.S. Lewis's books as well. Loved the "Narnia" series as a kid, right now I'm reading "The Screwtape Letters" and "Mere Christianity". Did you know that Lewis was an atheist until J.R.R. Tolkien converted him to Christianity?
Heroes:
Odysseus, Nikola Tessla, America's founding fathers, Winston Churchill.
