Time with my family and friends, reading the Bible, playing guitar, songwriting, poetry, computers, cats, starting new companies with my wife's permission (ha ha), movies and restaurants, DVD movie collecting and, of course, getting a good night's sleep. These are just interests. It doesn't necessarily mean that I spend enough time doing any single one of them! Except, maybe the movie collecting.
Friends from back in the day. People that I work with, customers, friends, and those pursue that american dream of being your own boss. And to be quite honest, since you really don't know if you don't ask, I'd like to meet people that just enjoy giving away money. That's right! It's MYspace, isn't it? So there...pbttttttttt!
Dream Theater Rocks! I've always enjoyed Rock 'n' Roll! Obviously, progressive metal. I respect and support bands that try making it in the industry. It's not easy at all, and it's a long, hard road before you make a buck. I can listen to the classics like AC/DC, JP, Boston, Led Zepp, and Rush, as well as push my way through the 80's, 90's, and big-hera, all the way to the up and coming, newer rock bands of today. I'd like to be able to have some of the same musical tastes as my son as he grows up. Well, except, for the rap stuff! I can only pray that country music doesn't become part of his repertoire. And, please God, tell me that this "Elmo" phase will soon come to an end!!!!!!!!!!!
Action not words! Actually, I enjoy a lot of different movies. If it's well written, produced, directed, and has a biting story line, I can get behind it. I can even cry along with the "tear-jerkers," or when Rocky Balboa fights his last fight. Favorite actors would be Jet Li, Mel Gibson, Russell Crowe, Morgan Freeman, Robert DeNiro, Danny Glover, Samuel Jackson, Hugh Grant, Anthony Hopkins, Michael Caine, Dennis Hopper, Colin Firth, Matt Damon, and the list goes on in no specific order. Favorite actresses would be Julia Roberts, Eva Mendes, Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, Julia Stiles, Helen Hunt, Jodie Foster, and again, the list goes on in no specific order.
ER, Scrubs, House, and Friends, all thanks to my wife. I am probably the only person on the planet that didn't watch friends until it came out on DVD. I'm addicted to House now, and also Heroes. I enjoy watching old, old, episodes of Cops and M.A.S.H. Extreme Engineering and How It's Made were interesting to watch. But, to tell you the truth, I really enjoyed Clean Sweep and Super Nanny. The only reality shows I follow are ones like "Life In The ER" or some of those medical related shows. I can't resist since my wife is a nurse! Cooking shows drive me nuts, and not in a good way.
I'm not an avid reader. I do have the entire collection of Calvin and Hobbes, one of the greatest literary genuises of our era. I also enjoyed Jack London. One day I may take the opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy a good book, but for now I think its best to stay focused, stressed out, and on the edge!
Seriously...me. If you can't believe in yourself, who else can you honestly believe in. My wife. She has worked incredibly hard to get to where she's at and I've been with her through a lot of it. Not to mention, we've been together for more than ten years. Anyone who can stand being with me for that long must have an incredible amount of endurance! Michael. Because he taught me that I should live life instead of complain about it and hope that it ends soon. In our lives, we meet a lot of people who influence us without getting the credit because we don't stop and realize who they are, only that they became a part of you.
