About Me

Hi all!I am an Australian boy currently working in the US, Seattle to be precise. Thought I would start this page up to keep in contact with people back home. If you like me add me as friend if you dont thats fine as well.Been in the US for a couple of months now and enjoying every minute. Have a single bedroom apartment for my wife and me in downtown Seattle. We have a awesome view of the space needle and are only a couple of blocks from the city centre. (The space needle is a bit of a dissapointment) We should be here for about two years depending on how long work wants to keep me here and in my occupation you never really know....In terms of a bit about myself, I have a beautiful wife, we have been maried for nearly two years now and everything is going well. We have been together since high school so I guess it is one of those fairy tale stories that actually work out. Dont know why she puts up with me but I could not live without her.I love sport can not play alot of it but still enjoy watching especially when having a few beers! Favourite is the cricket which is what I will miss the most while I am in the US.Love my music do not know what I would do without it have a huge collection of cds and would not trade them for anything.I am the worst person at answering my cell / mobile phone, almost always have it on silent so miss probably 90% of my calls. Also on my new phone I have not figured out how to use voice mail so I apologise if I have not returned your call.I cant spell very well eithier so i apologise for any mistakes so far.Thats about it for now, will add more as I have more time. But to all my mates back home looking forward to a beer with you all soon!Jay

My Interests

Music, Cricket, AFL, politics to an extent, things military related, movies, books.

I'd like to meet:

Howard Schultz the founder of Starbucks, without him the whole state of Washington I think would come to a grinding halt. Starbucks on every city corner? Amazing.John Stuart, James Cook, Ned Kelly and George Bush.

Music:

Huge fan of 90's punk made me who I am today. NOFX, Pennywise, No Use, Lagwagon, Millencolin, Pulley, No Fun At All Goldfinger. Also loved a bit of ska but really only ventured as far as Mad Caddies and Less than Jake. These days still follow a bit of punk, but really anything I enjoy. Bands such as Bloc Party, Anberlin, Senses Fail, Something with Numbers, Hot Water Music, Jimmy Eat World, Unwritten Law, Sparta, The Killers, Something for Kate, Motion City Soundtrack, After the Fall, Butterfly Effect, Thrice.

Movies:

Where do I start... Have a huge collection but highlights would have to be Cruel Intentions, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, American Pie, Armageddon, Platoon, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Top Gun, Transformers and a quite a few more.....

Television:

Cant go past a bit of the OC, Entourage, Lost, Scrubs, Australian of the Year, Glass House (back in the day) Spicks and Specks, My Name is Earl and hate to admit it but early Stargate!

Books:

Anything written by Tolkien and Tom Clancy. Bravo Two Zero is a piece off trash that you cant help but like, also I am one of the millions who enjoy a bit of Harry Potter.

Heroes:

Number one is Spiderman can not go past him, comic version of course none of this Toby Maguire... Ricky Wong and Daniel Sims are up there as well. Real world though Steve Waugh loved watching him as I grew up, and Frank McNamara a very impressive man.
