I've been dj'ing since I was around 16 years old. When I was younger I used to go to the record stores and cop the bmore club mixtapes from Mike Crosby and Boobie.. so many of these local cats influenced me to really get into the game and see what I could do. Most DJ's have the normal Funk Flex, Kid Capri, Grand Master Flash answer as who influenced them. No doubt those guys are legends but if it weren't for the Bmore scene and these local dj's who I've been listening to for years, I wouldn't have as much passion for this!We used to go downtown to Saratoga Street to Music Liberated when we were young and get all the new unruly releases and all the hot promo's that came out at the time... you had to get vinyl every weekend to try and stay on top of things since we didn't have the internet then and access to the newest stuff right away. A lot of times you would hear the song but it wasn't released on vinyl yet!!! Now it's hit up the internet and you got the joint... Got the opportunity again to build with people and more influences came along... That's where I got to meet Scottie B... Bernie ran the store (R.I.P) and that was a huge contributor to my vinyl collection..... Those were they guys who had the freshest beats and breaks and all that good shit that you been looking for years to find.... and most of the time if Bernie didn't have it.. he'd order that joint for you in a heartbeat.. Scottie and the other cats def kept Bernie on his game! OH YEAH - Vinyl 4 Sale! Holla at cha boy if anyone needs some vinyl!!!! LOLBeen through many years of house parties and block parties and any other kind of party that you can think of... Worked my way into some clubs and then just kept grindin... I got a lot of good people for friends and other DJ's like DJ Spice who always look out for their boy... Spice is my dude.. What up homie...Let's focus on the present now.... At this point I'm the official DJ for the monster Dan W. Kids got a mean flow and can write his ass off... Bmore look out for this kid. Make sure you add him to your friend list...
