Known locally as the "Neighborhood Superstar", Dan W, the hip hop artist has finally come about. Performing in venues as large as B.B. Kings Blues Club in New York at the Segrams Gin Tour, to the smaller neighborhood bars such as The Fish Head Cantina, W has surely made a name for himself.
Hailing from a small town in Baltimore, W started his music as a hobby until after only two weeks of recording his first "underground" single, "Let's Go", it was getting spins by local dj's in the local area clubs.
Shortly after the independently released, self-promoted album was in circulation, he was sought after by a local record label, In Da City Records, who he quickly signed with and became co-owner. Dan W's rapid success was still evident, when after only one month of recording his next "club banger" called "Getcha Hott", he received airplay at local radio stations 95.5FM(WPGC) and 93.9FM(WKYS) in Washington D.C.
The sky is the limit for the self proclaimed "Rookie Of The Year" rapper, who will stop at nothing to get his voice heard on the airwaves, and in your homes.......
