Smoothly taking the hand-off from Latin Rock legends Santana and Los Lobos, Boston-based Sendero explodes in new directions, innovating and exploring new musical ideas without losing the particular magic of its Latin roots. The vocal harmonies of Miguel Angel Acevedo create a unique blend and counterpoint to the Rock , rock and latin rhythms intricately woven by this pioneering 4-piece Band

Raised in Puerto Rico, Miguel grew up surrounded by a mix of island and Latin rhythms. He began composing his own music at the age of 15 and performing in Puerto Rico as a solo act by the time he was 19. Following his passion for music , Miguel moved to Boston, MA to attend Berklee College of Music . While continuing to develop his abilities as a songwriter and performer, he began to think in terms of a broader, cutting edge sound that layered the Latin sounds and island rhythms of his youth atop an innovative rocknroll chassis. The result was the formation of the dynamic Latin rock band Sendero , a 4-piece group performing Miguels compositions with electric and bass guitars, drums & Miguel himself leading on vocals.

In 2004, fellow Puerto Rican Tony Solis was the first member of Sendero to join Miguel in pursuit of a new musical vision. The powerful musical chemistry between Tony and Miguel allows him to innovate freely as his playing drives Sendero's sound.

When Mexican drummer Teo Quirino first sat behind the drums to audition for Sendero , it was immediately clear that he was the drummer for the group. Influenced by the greatest Latin drummers, Teo delivers the beat that anchors Sendero's music .

John Bastian handles the bass with disarming ease, shifting musical styles from driving rock to shimmying Latin rhythms with unmatched skill. His jazz-funk influenced style takes Latin Rock in completely new directions.
