Census currently consists of me, Nathan Aguilar. Census began in February of 2007 as a 3 piece. Matt Neal played guitar and Mikey Peterson played drums. We played some shows around SD, recorded and self released the Ultra Plants EP, and toured a little in the summer. After returning from tour, Matt Neal decided to join the National Guard. He is currently stationed in an undisclosed location but still writes me whenever he can. Mikey Peterson moved to Parumph, Nevada to pursue the writing of his fist novel titled "Bales of Hay".
These days Census is more of a collective of friends making music ranging from electronic based drones to full band rock songs and even acoustic songs. Census is about doing whatever we want and not sticking to any specific genres or guidelines. Some shows may be all acoustic with just me and then another show might be me with a full band playing rock and roll music. So open your ears and flex your head and expect the unexpected. I feel that this quote represents Census very well
"Nobody knows more than I that the less people know, the better off they are likely to be."
